Stop in for breakfast and greeted at the door and excellent interaction with staff had drinks and food served in a very timely manner. The food was cooked perfect and hot just the way it should be and it was busy at the time being there. Waitress was 1st class and enjoyed being there.

We waited over 10 minutes before the server came to say, “Hello.” Waited another 10 minutes before she took or ordered. We waited another 20 minutes before we got our breakfast. I the meantime, she didn’t refill our coffee. During our meal, I had to get up to ask for more coffee. Other than that, the place was nicely decorated, and the young ladies working there were super friendly.

Chicken fried steak was much better than average but not the best I’ve had. Biscuits and gravy: gravy was the perfect consistency but lacked any real flavor could have used some sausage and the biscuits were a bit on the dry side, could have been baked with a little butter on top. Hash browns: really decent tasting, I would have definitely preferred them crispier although in their defense I did not specify that. Chicken…broasted and fantastic!! Servers seemed pleasant enough and even though it is a bit dated as far as decor, it has a nice warm Hometown feeling, thus the name.

The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The food was good with a nice selection of choices. Portion size, you’re not leaving hungry. We visited twice. Once for lunch, then the next morning for breakfast.

Just passing through town we stumbled on this place. We had low expectations, just hoping for some eggs and coffee. We were surprised at the fast, cheerful service, and then blown away by the delicious home fries. (Oniony, crispy, and honestly the tastiest I’ve ever had). Everything was very tasty and the servers were very attentive, offering coffee every time our cups were low. I’m not sure we’ll ever be in Marinette again, but wish I could have breakfast here on the regular. Sorry for the picture of the half eaten plate, I just couldn’t hold myself back 🙂

As I always say when we are in Marinette we stop here. The food comes out quick and hot. The only problem is the waitress Shelby should smile more otherwise I recommend stopping for lunch.
