We absolutely love this restaurant! Hands down winner of the best fried shrimp ever! Their crab cakes, fried catfish, pasta, and of course their steaks are all amazing. The menu has something for everyone. The wait staff is also equally amazing, courteous, and professional. This restaurant is a local favorite and worth the drive to Moundville. Check it out!

Traveling with work and Mike’s Steakhouse was suggested to me and another co-worker to try for dinner. Got the raw oysters in the shell and a 16oz Ribeye you could cut with a fork. The environment and the staff was great. Will go back when I’m in the area again. Thanks to the Staff and the excellent service.

Never had a bad meal here. The Big Mike ribeye is divine. Get it medium rare. Pro tip. Drinks are available at their bar, service is friendly, get there early if you don’t want to wait long. Seriously delicious steak house and worth the drive to Moundville.

We waited too long for appetizers and food. No one cleared our dirty dishes. So we had to eat our meal with our dirty appetizer plates and salad plates. The food was good. Not sure if I will back, they will not seat you until your entire party has arrived and we had 10 of the twelve there, ridiculous.

I have been here several times and this was by far the worst experience. We ordered Bienville oysters. They added cheddar cheese to the top bc they originally only made them charbroiled and then attempted to make me believe it was Parmesan. I was told to add a Caesar salad to my entree it would be $3.50 but a regular house salad would be no cost. This sounded absurd to me and sounded like just a reason to upcharge. Ordered the ribeye medium well and It was still mooing when it got to the table. I asked to speak to the manager and without even coming over he discounted the oysters. As a paying customer I felt undervalued as well as dismissed. We weren’t asking for a discount but more so of bring knowledge that our experience was less than expected. To pay $200 for a meal and leave hungry is mind blowing. Not sure what has happened over the past year but their customer service and more importantly food has declined tremendously. Not only will I never be back but I also will never recommend them to anyone else.

Don’t get me wrong…this wasn’t a bad meal experience by any means, but the high menu pricing certainly leaves enough room to complain. I’m almost positive that the “garlic butter” onion/mushroom steak toppings were cooked with sugar because I’ve never eaten a vidalia anywhere near that sweet before. Not something I’d order again. The potato wedges were bomb though. Well seasoned & perfectly cooked. My girlfriend ordered the the grilled tuna & said she enjoyed it.

We arrived at 7:00 on a Friday night. They were extremely busy. We were told the wait would be about 1 1/2 hours but it was only 1 hour. The staff was very friendly. Our waitress Courtney did an amazing job keeping our tea glasses full and getting our food out in a hurry. I ordered the Big Mike Ribeye. It was 24oz of pure heaven. My daughter ordered the filet and I snuck a bite of hers. It also was delicious. The onion straws were crisp and tasty. Big Mike’s was about a 45 minute drive from our home. It was definitely worth the drive. One of the best steaks I’ve ever enjoyed.

Going by the reviews, I thought this would be a nice place to eat, but I was wrong. The price was way to high and then when we got home my husband didn’t get his Cobb salad, there was no dipping sauce for the fried mushrooms and I didn’t get my dinner salad. My husband had to drive back and gets his meal and my salad. Still no sauce for mushrooms. For $30 per-person it. was not worth it it. I don not see us eating here again. We didn’t even order steak!

Co-workers and I met up here and oh my did we enjoy. The atmosphere was good. The cocktails were good. The food was delicious and Shelby was a doll. This was my first visit here and I am already planning for my next visit.
