If you enjoy a homemade, tasteful, exceptional, creative Italian spot this is the one for you. THIS PLACE IS A MUST, everything was outstanding. It is very intimate, the service is beyond 5 stars. There is not one negative thing to say about this place. You feel at home as soon as you walk in, the presentation of the food is exquisite, and the flavors and ingredients used are very fresh. Everything taste made from scratch, this is like no Italian spot I have tasted in Poughkeepsie. They deserve all the support and love our locals can give! Please add this place to your budget list, you will not be disappointed. ☺️ 10/10 must try again!

On a recommendation my son and I ordered Chicken Cacciatore and Chicken Piccata for take out. We showed up 1/2 hours before closing not knowing because it was our first time and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. Let me tell you if you don’t go here and eat you’ll be depriving yourself some of the best Italian food you will ever eat.

This restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside with just a few tables and chairs, but the food is delicious as is the presentation on the plate ( very impressive!) We had the Chicken Sorrento and Chicken Francese, both were delicious and the portions were big enough for two dinners the following night. Both came with pasta and a salad along with before dinner bread. The prices are extremely reasonable, and again, the food is top notch. I highly recommend Capperi!

If you want a place that brings all the fresh ingredients to create flavorful and appetizing dishes this is your place! Italian food that is quality and quantity. We have been ordering from them since the day they opened and have never had a bad meal. This place brings the mom and pop Italian food to Poughkeepsie on a new level! From the salads to the entrees everything is prepared in a clean environment with care, love, and taste. If you have not tried it yet, you should definitely give it a try for yourself and see how amazing the food really is! The portions are very generous.
