Things In Nashville
Over all I really enjoyed it! Great establishment with it’s outdoor seating and sport on the big screen. I had brisket, ribs and turkey with mild and Alabama White Sauce. Sides was greens and street corn. The greens had the subtle bacon flavor as it should but without the overbearing vinegar taste many places use. The street corn had a good spicy taste, I really liked it. The banana pudding was my only thing. It just had the taste and texture of Jello brand banana Pudding mix. Not saying it tasted bad because it was still good. Just nothing special. The brisket and turkey was really darn good!! I’ll be back.

I am excited to write this review, and I am not sure why I took so long. Let’s journey back to January of 2018 when I first moved to Nashville. My new office was walking distance to Peg Leg Porker, and on my very first day on the job, this is where I went to lunch. I fell in love with every single food item there. Now lets fast forward to today. When I found out they were opening this place less than a mile from where I live, I was stoked. I’ve been multiple times, and it never disappoints. The food is amazing, the ambiance, decor, tv screens, dog friendly patio make it a perfect spot any day of the week. My only wish is that one day they serve french fries on a daily basis! You can’t go wrong there. I love it.

Cafeteria style ordering so you get your food right away. Best ribs I have ever had and the brisket was delightful and I’m from Texas! The coleslaw and potato salad were both good and the mac n cheese was good and oh so creamy. Banana pudding is a must! Affiliated with Peg Leg Porker and you just can’t go wrong here.

What a great spot: proper TX style BBQ in BBQ-mad TN. And it was relatively cheap: half the price you’d pay in Florida or, hell, even Texas! Brisket was excellent and fatty. Pulled pork was much better than what you’d find in Texas (where they tend to mess up pork). Smoked pastrami was the only dud, and it was still excellent , just looked better than it tasted. Solid sides and the biggest beer garden I’ve seen in Nashville. This place must be lively as hell on a nice weather weekend night. Highly recommended for food and hanging out.

Overpriced. $51 for two, not including drinks, and we threw most of it away. The brisket was good but not worth the money. Jalapeño cheddar sausages were delicious. The mac and cheese didn’t have any flavor and skip the cold Mexican street corn, it’s just bad. Banana pudding was a good dessert choice but the key lime pie was a miss. They add nutmeg to the crust which made it taste off. Bartenders were friendly and the frozen drinks were good. We tried a few of those.

For a Texas inspired cafeteria style restaurant, this BBQ was delicious. We had a large group, and no reservations anywhere on a Saturday night, so we called this place and the staff was super friendly and accommodating.
