We stopped in for a late lunch while on a trip up north. When we walked in there was only one person at the bar. We decided to have a beer and order lunch. To our surprise the food was delicious. I had the club and my wife had the fish tacos. The only draw back was when we walked it it was right by the bathrooms and it smelled like they needed to be cleaned.

Food was fine. Really can’t complain much about it as they have cut back on their menu options, but the real downfall was the service. I understand people getting flustered as it gets busy, but when we sat down (3 of us) we were the only ones in the place besides maybe 4 people at the bar. The food came out at different times, which isn’t a huge deal, and the bartender was also our waitress. She would come and ask if we needed anything, one person would say something, and she’d take off ignoring others. I was going to play some keno to pass the time, money and ticket on the table waiting for her, but as soon as someone else said something she’d just ignore me. I also wanted to ask for some extra tartar sauce for my fish, but again she never stuck around long enough for me to say anything so I ended up not saying anything to her at all again.

We were up in Alpena for our buddy’s bachelor party this past weekend and ate lunch here each of the three days. The burgers are amazing and the manager and owner were so nice. We had an awesome time and will 1000% be visiting every time we are in the area!

Ordered the chicken parmesan and it was served covered with tomato sauce and cheese. I could only find 3 pieces of chicken in it! The waitress went to the chef and came back saying that I could have another chicken breast. That breast came cut into chunks and was rubbery in taste. The pasta was in huge chunks and very unappetizing. I would only order a burger from this place!

Thought we would give this place another try. Seated ourselves and sat there for 20 minutes with NO acknowledgement. Waitresses knew were there because of the irritated glares we were given. They looked under-staffed and overwhelmed, but at least say something to us. We’re local and will not be returning.
