I had an amazing experience here. We had to come later in the evening around 7:20 and they were so kind enough to let us order still. We had our two very young daughters with us and they were so kind and patient with us. They recommended food that was very good and I would get it again! But I felt so welcome there from the staff and they seemed to enjoy our littles. It was great

It was me with my teen kid and folks who ate here last week. I couldn’t have been less impressed. All four of us had caked on dirty silverware – a napkin and water didn’t even get majority of the gunk off.

This place is a hidden gem! We were visiting Botna Bend Park in Hancock, Iowa and were looking for a place to eat in Neola, Iowa; we found “The Buck Snort”. The inside was very casual and inviting, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our kids ordered various things from the menu, but I had to go with the “Swamp Donkey”. Very tasty! I would recommend this place to anyone. One of the best burgers I have had in quite sometime. In fact, IMHO, it was better than Stella’s over in Bellevue, Neb.

The food was really what is was in the mood for. I had the swamp donkey or something like that. The brisket was smoked well and the burger was juicy. The decor is a little open and bright but clean and comfortable. The employees were friendly and attentive.

Normally we enjoy Bucksnort. Tried their pizza yesterday and wasn’t impressed at all! Pizza sauce was way too sweet. When asked staff if all they offer was thin crust pizza, they responded, “corporate made that decision because they kept under cooking the thick crust!” I will stick to their standard fare, like burgers if I return.

I made a mistake and called another town to order food. I was so embarrassed I did that!! But the three employees who stayed displayed what real hospitality is! They stayed late (they were closing when I pulled into the restaurant) to make my order for me, were so genuine and made me feel valued. I will definitely come back, 5 stars if youre looking for amazing ribs, and even service go here!!!
