As with many of my reviews, this was my first time eating Korean and it was a fun experience. I ordered the fried dumplings as an appetizer and it came with a sweet dipping sauce. They were light and flavorful. The entrée I ordered was the salmon bowl and it was a very hot and delicious experience. I won’t give any other details as this is better experienced and words simply won’t do it justice.

I think the foods here are pretty decent. The spicy pork belly is tasty. It was the best among what we ordered there. Even though Jab Chae was not as good as the ones I had before at other Korean restaurants, the beef in the dish was tender and well-marinated. Service was just okay in my opinion. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Stone Bowl is one of our favorite restaurants in Asheville. We have brought guests from out of town and in town, and now it is everyone’s favorite! I usually get the kim chi ji gae with no pork, diluted with broth to make it less spicy. But my tolerance has built up from going there so much. Great kimchi, noodles, sides.. and the bowls are mouth-watering good. I also appreciate that they treat their staff so well. Our server told us that she has worked there for 9 years! That she loves it there! Great to have the same server who always knows our order.

Plenty of parking available. Lots of vegetarian options. The cider was excellent. I loved the tofu stone bowl. The egg cooked while you were eating. The food was delicious and I have been craving it again. Unfortunately, our service was lackluster. We had to wait awhile to have our order taken and they gave us the wrong food initially. Would have loved to give 5 stars, but I couldn’t due to the service issues.
