Our first stop in Helen was Hofbrauhaus. We were greeted, seated outside where we requested by the river & the waitstaff were super friendly. Our waitress was new, so I’m giving some leeway, she did good overall. Our food was great, loved the German wurst & the pretzel was delicious. Great for sharing. Gorgeous views of the Chattahoochee. They have indoor/outdoor seating and a full bar. We had the opportunity to hear a German toast & experience the fun!

We stopped in for lunch after exploring some local state parks and were able to sit on the patio with our dog. We had a great view of the river and the food was delicious. There was a big menu so lots of great traditional German favorites. The service was awesome and quick despite the town overall being super busy. Our waiter Chris was so attentive to both us and our dog, gave great food recommendations, and even shared tips about places to check out in the local area. An added bonus was that prices were a bit cheaper than other places closer into town!

Food was good not sure if it is represent true German food but it has the look anyway lol German beer selection was great, I did the flight of beer and couldn’t finish it it is by the river where everyone is tubing so you can watch them go by and that was quite entertaining. It was so hot outside and they had a huge fan, but it wasn’t either working or they didn’t have it on. It would really help if they had mist and fan in GA hot 90degree plus days!
