Me and my family have been going to Grand tavern in Livonia for many years. The wait staff is always super friendly and the place is always clean and tidy inside. They do have pretty good deals on happy hour drinks and appetizers and some of their soups and entrees are very tasty and plentiful! A few years ago the food quality was top-notch and the quantity was on point, unfortunately nowadays they are a little hit and miss. The Taco Tuesday deal isn’t much of a deal but at least the 2 bites per taco were tasty bites!

Went with friends. First time visit for me. It was okay. Nothing was really a stand out and the menu didn’t have a lot that appealed to me. Service and atmosphere were good and would definitely say give it a try, it just wasn’t for me.

Was in there last week, our server was absolutely rude, didn’t remove anything for our larger party table or came back to check on us but maybe 1 or 2 times. left a generous cash tip only to find out the next day when i looked at my mobile app our server left herself a bigger tip on our bill. Called up to the restaurant and spoke to the general manager Zach who was amazing and took care of us and was such a sweetheart. Definitely come back because of Zach who was on top of confirming everything and dealing with the situation right away and offered to buy us a drink and take care of our meal with his own personal money if the owners wouldn’t take care of it.

Our waitress was nice but I won’t be back. We planned on coming here weeks ago so I already knew what I wanted. I asked if they could simply fry the eggs hard because I dont like runny yolks. They said they cant make modifications on the brunch menu, but how is cooking the eggs for a few moments longer a modification? Since they only serve runny eggs I picked something else and the food was just not good. My husband is a vegetarian and asked if they could add black beans to the nachos instead of a meat, the nachos were on the regular menu and they still said NO. It was gnats flying landing ON OUR FOOD! We just paid and left and decided we won’t be back. I’m not upset with our waitress but it’s terrible customer service on the managers part to tell your customers you won’t cook the food to their liking. If I ordered steak they would give me the option of medium, or well done so it wouldn’t have hurt them to make my eggs well done. We came for a special occasion, I won’t make that mistake again. I couldve had a wayyy better celebration brunch at Panera Bread.

We started out waiting to be seated at Bar Louie (2 hour wait), but then walked over to Grand Tavern. We are very happy that we switched restaurants. The food at the Grand Tavern was amazing. Very friendly service and clean atmosphere. We will definitely be back!!

Chicken tenders tasted like they’ve been in the freezer for two years and the fish and chips the fish smelled bad when they served it and the coleslaw was bad this is the second time. Coke was flat even on the second try! I won’t be going back I had an upset stomach and so did my friend

My party of 5 dined here Friday 3/31/2023. The Walleye was fabulous. They offered Cajun & they graciously did mine NON cajun…..both were scrumptious. My friend had catfish and it was the same. Peruvian chicken salad, brisket Mac and cheese, street corn shrimp all very very different and tasty. We were seated right away at 4:30 & the staff were very attentive. We’re from Ohio and we will be back for sure on our annual Spring visit. Got an order of the brisket/mac to take back to Ohio…it’s that good. A very diverse menu and refreshingly different from just every day cuisine
