Service: I think I just went at a bad time. The whole dinner took about 3 hour. it definitely could have been 1.5-2 hours if orders were taken more promptly and if the food came on time. I went for restaurant week, and you could tell the kitchen was very backed up. The restaurant is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but we had several mix ups that were frustrating at times.

Impossible to gush enough. I started with a perfect Monkey 47 martini and it was all uphill from there. Seafood tower, frog’s legs, trout; each course was better than the last. Best gnocchi I have ever eaten and I have eaten a lot. The beurre blanc on the trout was absolutely insane. Finished with a chocolate pot de creme and a pistachio Paris Brest. Great wine list. We felt like royalty and it has a gorgeous dining room. A very, very special place.

The food here is pretty good, when it’s consistent. The primary issue is inconsistency in the quality of the food. This goes for appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The prices are 50/50. But Aisha, the bartender made my day. She was so approachable and kind and the drinks were great!!

A fabulous birthday dinner at this new French spot in DC. My wife and I decided to explore on of the new restaurants that have begun to open recently in the DC area. This place did not disappoint. Our waiter was fabulous at explaining the menu and giving his recommendations. To start, the raw bar options were honestly top notch especially the scallop crudo. I had the lobster thermador which was prepared exquisitely. A must visit in the area.

Genuinely a lovely experience! The staff were attentive and friendly. The French onion soup was delicious with its rich broth. The cod was perfectly cooked. Also the Paris Brest was excellent to finish the meal. Would definitely recommend for date night or a special occasion!

Le Clou is a new French restaurant that is poised to become a destination for discerning diners in search of exceptional food and atmosphere. My partner and I were thoroughly impressed by the culinary expertise on display in dishes like the Poulet Rôtie and Coquilles Saint Jacques, with the succulent and expertly roasted chicken being a particular highlight. The Pomme Puree was also a masterful accompaniment. We also had the Financier, a Hazelnut-Brown Butter Cake with a Saffron-Vanilla Poached Pear, which was not our favorite but the blood orange sorbet was very good. The decor is sophisticated and elegant, providing a fitting backdrop for the elevated dining experience. Although there was a slight delay with our table reservation, the wait was well worth it for the exceptional meal and overall ambiance. I wholeheartedly recommend Le Clou to anyone looking for the highest level of French cuisine and atmosphere.
