A semi hidden gem in New Haven! Both the food and service were excellent for our birthday dinner, party of three. The owner, who is also the chef, greeted us and took his time discussing the delicious menu items. He told us that nothing is pre-made, everything is made from scratch. Where in Connecticut can you find that? We started with a draft beer, a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and an alcoholic raspberry lemonade which was so good our son ordered a second one. For starters we ordered the Wild Cauliflower (Tempura batter, cauliflower floret, Aleppo pepper, warm bleu cheese, and shaven cucumber). And for the main course we had two orders of the 259 Orange burgers (Short rib and chuck patty, provolone, fried egg, bacon strips, avocado, lettuce) and the Griddled Romain (grilled romaine, shaved Parmesan, crisp corn, vine ripe tomatoes, Caesar, balsamic, drizzle, hormone free chicken and tortilla strips. The food was 10/10, delicious. The total bill without tip was $85. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Thought it was closed when we first went but the owner quickly opened the door and let us know that he was just cleaning the floors haha. We had the place to ourselves and the owner was friendly and inviting. The food was made fresh and both burgers were delicious. Would recommend and will definitely come again! (We had the 259 Orange burger and the Jolly Dangles burger)

This was our first time at Dangles I just searched for a bar with great reviews and a great menu and I’m so glad that we gave this place a chance. Our drinks were great, the food was pretty good but most importantly the atmosphere is what truly gave us the best experience. It was a one-man show as we watched James balance being our host, our bartender, our DJ and our cook. I’m not sure why it seemed like he was doing everything on his own but he made it look effortless and there was only one other table there besides ourselves so there was no wait. He was personable and accommodating me and the girls will definitely be back this might be our new spot!

Incredible food, service, and environment!! From the minute we walked in, we felt welcome. We ordered the Jolly Dangles and the 259 burgers – both were amazing, the best burgers we’ve ever had. Especially with the side of plantains and dipping sauce. It’s clear how much care is put into the food and service. Can’t wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu!

Wow! Everything we had was amazing. The woo hoo cocktail was perfectly balanced. I shared the sliders, banging twisted shrimp, and pretzels and it was all so good, including the sauces. The place has wonderful decor, atmosphere and playlist. Will 100% return next time I’m in New Haven and will have to get the burgers again

Great service, great food. We found the place after the St.Pattys day parade and we’re lucky enough to have it to ourselves for a little while because the owner was kind enough to open early for us when he saw us waiting outside. He was great with our kids too. Asking permission to give them fun frozen popsicles.

So worth the trip, and an easy one to downtown New Haven, even more so during Happy Hour! Friendly and warm from the get-go, lovingly prepared drinks, truly some of the best wings we have ever had (and we lived in Buffalo for more than 4 years) and sliders to slaver over.

Tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was fantastic. The Banging Twisted shrimp was cooked to perfection and the sauce was great. The Cheesesteak roll was super flavorful and cooked to perfection. I also had the Haven sliders but ate them before I could take a picture. The onions were grilled well and burgers juicy.
