Very romantic setting. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, our server wasn’t too knowledgeable about the menu, but I just attributed that to being newly hired besides that her service was exceptional.

Here’s the thing. It doesn’t make any damn sense how absolutely seasoned DOWN this food is. Raving reviews are rare for me because most foods air on the side of bland/mediocre/gentrified in San Diego. The pasta is utterly deliziosa! I legit speak Italian now after that meal. My daughter and husband loved it too! ALL of the fettuccine plates. Order them now and thank me later.

@ Bankers Hill in San Diego. Italian with indoor/ outdoor seating. Some aspects of the interior are rather nice with the seating up against the wall, the large mirror and a nice bar area. There is some nice relaxing music in the background that is not too loud. Some areas could be improved upon such as having nicer table cloths, they have folding chairs as seats outside, and some of the plates the bread is served on is rather beat up. However they ask a steep price for this. On the bright side everything I tried was fairly delicious. The mushroom ravioli was soft and melted in your mouth. I rate it 9/10. The fettuccine Mia comes with mushrooms and diced chicken. The pasta is served el dente which I liked. Rate this 8/10. Had a side of asparagus, $9. Good wine selection, beer and deserts limited. NO PIZZA.

Absolutely authentic! I was fortunate enough to be there with a wine expert & chef, and both had the same opinion. Just simple, authentic food, no frills. Which was highly appreciated!!

Delicious authentic Italian food. We had the eggplant Parmigiano, fettuccine with chicken and mushrooms. And for dessert had the chocolate cheesecake. Great atmosphere with easy parking. I would highly recommend it and will come here again.

You want family? Well this is the place! Got a problem with a dish? The chef is right there! They like garlic and aren’t bashful about using it. But their roasted garlic is much tamed so don’t give in just yet. A Bankers Hill go-to!

Worst pasta in the world. Terrible service. Me, my husband, and my three year old son came in for dinner after going to the zoo. Initially the man told us we could sit anywhere so we chose a 4 top table and then he quickly forced all three of us to cram into a two top table in the corner and brought a folding chair. We ordered two plates of pasta. Both were absolutely horrible. Spaghetti carbonara and fettuccine Mia. Zero flavor. Small bits of bacon and chicken on each. We bought a bottle of wine and paid $100 for the entire meal and everything was awful. We were crammed, our son was distraught, and we ended up boxing all the food up and leaving asap. Waste of money and time.

A very local, small but authentic home-kitchen Italian food. Enjoyed everything we ordered, but would hope there is some improvement in the complementary bread.
