Completely on point for this style of dinning!! It was a Monday night and service (Ivan) was perfectly paced and enjoyable. I was a solo diner and didn’t feel rushed or an imposition.

This is a high quality restaurant with tapas options. There is a happy hour which offers discounted drinks from 4-6pm. Our waiter, Ivan, was upbeat, knowledgeable about the menu, and very friendly. The food was great! The steak was cooked perfectly and the fish was full of flavor. The only thing that wasn’t great was the calamari. The flavor was there, but it wasn’t cooked great. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place and will be returning to try the other offerings.

Tasty food, but the Wissota falls short for value and ambiance. The food was very good, the service was attentive and friendly, but it is too pricey for what you get. Steak dinner for two without alcoholic drinks cost $180 before tip. I have had better steak that costs less, and I have had excellent steak that costs much more. The truffle fries were good. The truffle mac & cheese was too salty for my taste. We gave the leftovers to our son, and he said it was the best mac & cheese. We are glad we tried this place, but we would never go back. It is just not worth it to us.

My wife and I tried Wissota for the first time today, and we were very disappointed. The main draw of a Chophouse should be the meats, and that is where our meal at Wissota was the weakest. The service was good. Mariah was very friendly. Their bread board was good, nothing too special, but good. For our entrees, I ordered the Dry Aged Ribeye, and my wife had the 10 oz Filet. We also got loaded mashed potatoes, mushroom risotto, and the parmesan Brussels sprouts. The sides were mostly great. The mushroom risotto was fantastic and the reason I’m giving two stars instead of one. It was so creamy and delicious. The Brussels sprouts were good as well. They were nice and crispy. Very flavorful. The loaded mashed potatoes were mostly good. Some of the pieces of bacon on there were completely burnt to a crisp. Our steaks are where the meal was most disappointing. They were inconsistently cooked and dry. We both ordered medium rare, and they came out more medium. Normally not a huge deal, and the steaks are still good. But they were dry, and hardly had any seasoning at all. Everything else we had was salted (possibly a little too much salt in some cases), but it didn’t seem like the meat had any seasoning. It was especially disappointing since the ribeye was $99, and I’ve had better cooked steaks at Texas Roadhouse.

Fantastic restaurant!!! Great food and fantastic service from James, Alicia, Ivan, and the chef!!! The food is always fantastic every time and consistent, the staff is always friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure I’m taken care of, and the atmosphere is beautiful. I love this small gem in Janesville!! It only keeps getting better with every visit!!!

The food was amazing. My husband and I have traveled a lot around the country and are food nerds. Our experiene here was so nice. We started with the crab cakes and they were more crab than filling which was a great beginning. I had the lobster and they only had one left so offered me grilled prawns to substitute the second tail and I’m so glad they did as it was soooo good! The portions were generous as well…we both left full! We ordered the chocolate cake and raspberry tiramisu to go and both were decedent and delicious! I highly recommend this place.

It was a very special occasion for my family of 6 upon my arrival from Arizona. Our waiter Ivan was absolutely the best! Very professional and represented your company well. BUT…the food was either cold or very luke warm. 2 of the vegetable side dishes were also cold and not completely cooked through. We asked to speak to a manager but none on site, then the chef and he would not come out. We discussed our concerns in a calm manner but we left very dissatisfied. Needless to say after a $400 bill and cold food I was not satisfied. I live in Scottsdale Az and have been to many high end restaurants but yours really surprised me. Customer Service is important. Thank You.

Had another wonderful experience here! Scott is a incredibly attentive bartender. My husband and I had a lovely evening based on his recommendations and exceptional service. You cannot beat the filet here. Oh, and definitely add mushrooms or caramelized onions. As for cocktails, Scott delivers tasty drinks to perfection. Delicious wine selection as wine. We will be back!

A couple of friends and I went on a Saturday early evening about 5pm…Hoping we’d beat the busy “reserved” crowd because we kind of made these plans last minute well boy we’re we in for a surprise when we found the only available seating immediately at that time would be at the bar. Most would probably be a little discouraged as we first thought as well but WOW! what a blessing it was! Hands down the best seats in the house, that’s if you enjoy amazing service filled with laughter and genuine kindness and all around attention to detail! Our waitress/bartender was Alicia, a breath of fresh air you can really tell she loves what she does. Now on to the goods!! We were first recommended some of the handcrafted specialty cocktails they have seasonally, I had the pomegranate mojito, outstanding! and my friends had a white chocolate covered raspberry martini which I tried and was also delicious, a Santa Martini, not particularly my thing but she loved it, and lastly a Bloody Mary. Then Alicia suggested that we share the crab cakes (excellent recommendation!) they were so full of flavor. Then two of us enjoyed (understatement) the French onion soup, and other the field
