Opened in 2007, we are an award-winning BBQ restaurant that slowly smokes all our ribs and meats with hickory, mesquite and apple wood in our state-of-the art smoker with everything made to order. We are located in Point Pleasant, but it’s an easy drive from Manasquan, Brick, Toms River or the Jersey Shore! Available for take-out, delivery or we also cater large events!

We had our backyard wedding last week and we chose to go with Hickory Hog in Point Pleasant for the BBQ. As the father of the bride said in his speach “you chose well”. The food was Amazing! Our guests from North Carolina were impressed with the quality and flavor (and these people are picky about their BBQ). Maureen, her husband and staff were helpful, kind, and professional. Thank You Hickory Hog Team for making the meal at our wedding a hit!

The tater tots were bland, had no seasoning, and tasted like freezer bag tater tots the ribs and I opened them and it burned my nose. I tried it. It was very vinegary I would never come here again. I never write bad reviews but I couldn’t hold back

Called up to see if they had kosher items. The lady on the phone was really rude and made like a gawk before saying they had no kosher items. I asked if they serve only pork. She said yes with out hesitation. I asked if they served beef like brisket. And she became confused and had someone else tell her they had beef but not brisket. My friend and I were looking to place a very large order (for kosher and non kosher items)and from this phone experience alone I think I’ll NEVER go to the hickory hog.

Dried out ribs, moldy bread on the burger, burnt chicken wrap, discolored cole slaw..…should I go on? I don’t know what’s happened to this place but I just spent $100 for a bag full of reheated, old food. Depressing……
