You want your Great Grand-Mother’s and Grand-Mother’s cooking? This is the place. If from Atlanta, this place is reminiscent of Mary Mac’s in Atlanta when the Lupo family owned the restaurant back in the ’60’s and ’70’s regarding the food savoriness and taste.

Great friendly service with a smile, and I’ve not had one bad food item or service from there. The food is always seasoned perfectly and the desserts are always fresh and oh so good!! No complaints at all from here!! You should definitely go check them out, I promise you; you won’t be disappointed!!

It’s good. Food tastes good but when I searched for buffets in Americus this place came up. When we got there it really isn’t an all you can eat buffet. You can get what you want but each item has it’s price. Mom’s kitchen is home style cooking like this place but I love how they make $7 meals. Choose a meat of your choice and 2 sides with cornbread plus sweet tea. If you decide you want another side it’s extra but most of the time what they serve you is enough. Well Sheppard House let’s you choose what you want and it can cost you a good bit if you choose certain things that cost more than others. I wish they either charged a solid price for buffet or made a price for a meal like Mom’s Kichen. If they did it would be 5 stars. Overall that it’s a good place. Food is good and employees are nice.

I’ve been eating at this restaurant for years with my Grands and my Parents. The staff is nice and there is always a crowd of good old home folks. If you like fried chicken, this is the place! BEST FRIED CHICKEN IN TOWN! And we love the dressing. We even order pans of it for our holidays.
