Aozora is one of those places that you’ll walk pass and miss a fortune. The food here is phenomenal. Atmosphere and ambience are fantastic. Great place for any type of celebratory lunch or dinner. Staff is very attentive and service is great. We enjoyed the miso soup, followed by Vegetable Fried Rice – Philadelphia rolls, Fire Dragon, Red Spider, Salmon Lover and Omakase Sushi & Sashimi Combo’s. To satisfy your sweet tooth after the all that soy sauce, try the Mango Mousse Cake and Cheese Cake. Finished it off with cappuccino’s and an expresso. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

2 of their dishes are in my top 5 favorite dishes of all time. The duck and Chilean sea bass are out of this world. Everything else is fantastic as well. The sushi is fresh and well-crafted and even the fried rice is great. Every dish is executed perfectly. Don’t sleep on this place.

I like the place, wasn’t that crazy about the dumplings ( if I was you, skiped) but the rest of the dinner was pretty good. I got vegetables and shrimp tempura, nice portion, well fried, also a udon chicken soup, and some sweet potato tempura sushi roll. Overall is good price relation with quality. Nice ambiance, look nice for a date.

Fantastic sushi rolls! Some of the tastiest special rolls we’ve had The atmosphere of this restaurant is kind of fancy but the prices weren’t terrible. The staff was very friendly and attentive. In the picture, right to left: Galaxy roll, fire dragon, Montclair, Aozora. Definitely recommend.

So I came here with a friend they messed up my order (I ordered chicken fried rice and they gave me shrimp) so I sent it back. They didn’t actually remake the rice they just plucked out the shrimp. I couldn’t even take one bite because it was so nasty. I told them and sent it back and unlike a decent business establishment and removing the item, they still charged me. I spoke with the owner and she caught and attitude and still kept the charge. If this is how they wanna be, then they can expect to never see me again. Learn some common sense and basic business skills.

I generally order from this restaurant every Friday. Uni, spicy salmon with avocado &/or with cucumber are some of the options I order. I have been happy with the sushi from this establishment up until last week. I spent over 100.00$ for my entire order… 72.00$ of the order was for rancid, gritty, bad Uni!! The color was completely off. It looked beige rather than the bright orange color that it normally is! After ordering Uni from this establishment on Fridays for over 3 months consistently, I’m sure you can imagine my surprise! When I called to advise of this issue, after speaking to the Owner/Manager, I realized that I would NEVER return. To patronize me with weak excuses as to why the sushi looked & tasted as it did was beyond the scope of what I could & would comprehend! Beware… there’s absolutely nothing worse than spending a substantial amount of money for disgusting, hideous sushi!!

I’ve come to Aozora multiple times with a friend because we genuinely enjoyed their sushi. However, the last time was a complete dud. For several weeks, we would order the Uni (sea urchin) and were initially impressed with the quality and presentation. However, the last time we went, the uni was very grainy and tasted like it had been sitting in a refrigerator for a while. The color itself was also a grayish yellow and normally, uni is a vibrant orange/yellow. When we approached the servers about this, they were very dismissive, hence the one star review. If the quality/service improves, I may consider returning.

Went for lunch so we didnt order much, but the rolls we ordered were very fresh and tasty.. spicy tuna and NJ rolls were seasoned well. My daughter loved the california and avacado rolls as well. The only drawback was they lack of a Chicken Katsu (fried chicken tenders), my youngest daughters favorite..
