The service is nice and fast. As a vegetarian you have two alternative burgers, but unfortunately these are not tasty and a bit dry, the fries are still okay. You can only sit outside, but in the beautiful park. There is plenty of seating. As a vegetarian there are better alternatives. Value for money okay.

This is where it all began. From this stand in the middle of Madison Square Park sprouted a great franchise. While I’m already familiar with their great burgers, sandwiches, & fries I never tried their shakes. The Oreo Funnel Shake was delicious albeit so viscous that I ditched my straw for a spoon. It was a nice way to get a sweet brain freeze on this hot, humid summer day.

If you’re going to review a Shake Shack, you might as well go with their original location. Coming here you do come to understand the origin of the name because it’s not much more than a shack, albeit in a superb location in Madison Square Park with lots of lawn seating. The burgers and fries are as great as ever – on of the best easy, low cost burgers out there in my opinion and the park environment does take it up a notch. Just plan your visit on a day the weather’s nice.
