Food was great. Biscuits and gravy is home made. Nice small town restaurant. It has a lot of history. Check out the photobooks. It burned down once and was rebuilt. The “dance hall” is cool. This is a gem in disguise full 5-star for a local local cafe. The chopped steak dinner was well proportioned and nicely seasoned. Just be aware of the sampler platter. A half order could feed a party of 6.

Food was good, but the old lady running the register had to ring us up about 5 times because the bill was never correct, the first one was over $100. Then she said my CC was no good but it worked the second time around. Not sure if she normally has help or not. Will go again for the food and see if the service is any different. Not a lot of choices in this little town.

I have to admit I’m a little biased here. I took a trip with my wife to see where she grew up. We had to stop at Amy Lou’s and see what had changed. My wife was very pleasantly surprised when Amy Lou was still working. Keep in mind it had been 25 years since my wife left. We had a great time. The food was good and the atmosphere very western small town. Will definitely visit again.
