Came here for drinks before the movies, and although Bar Louie definitely scores for the convenience, the drinks can be summarized as overly sweet and weak, and probably geared towards people who are not that serious about their cocktails.

Very good food and drinks hit the spot, our waiter was not the brightest, he kept giving us the wrong drinks and or food item, he literally reminded me of Rachel Green from friends (if you have watched friends you will get what I mean ) he disappeared at one point, we wanted more drinks, he was no where to be found, only to find out he went on break but gave no warning, when I go to places they normally tell us they will be going on break and introduce us to the new waiter that will be assisting us. The atmosphere was nice, not too crowded, I will go back just hope we get a better waiter.

Bar Louie is situated in the bustling Tustin District Legacy center, making it a popular hangout spot. We visited on St. Patrick’s Day and were pleased to see that they had some exciting deals going on, including a 50% discount on drinks and beer. However, the happy hour appetizers we ordered were just average and the portions were small.

Servers were pretty attentive and kept us posted about going on a break. We had the artichoke dip/chips and the calamari. Both were really good. Calamari was cooked perfectly; not swimming in oil at all. Their sauces were a bit too spicy for me but I’m allergic to capsaicin. Server was happy to oblige when I asked for ranch dressing and it was brought to the table quickly. Overall a nice experience. I would have given 5 stars for atmosphere too but it was a bit too noisy for normal conversation

My first time here and it was easy to find. ( I get lost everywhere I go) Right next to the AMC theater so you can’t miss it. We had a big group of us and the server made sure to keep checking in with us. We got actual menus but I really liked that you can scan a QR code that’s located on the tables to bring up the menu. They have a section for No alcohol which was great especially in a bar. Really good menu with lots to choose from. I got the Beyond tacos and broccoli app. The tacos were delicious ( even my friends who do eat meat liked it) but the broccoli was definitely not like the menu. It came out all chopped up like a topping. They also do not have bottled water, sparkling or flat. I hope next time we go we can sit outside. Looked really nice.

In town for business and visited this Bar Louie all by my lonesome. My tear of loneliness was quickly dried by the joyous server who was very attentive. I felt like I would explode because the burger was so good, I just could not stop eating it. I think it was called the “all-nighter” and I got my egg fried. Mmmmm, those taters sure are good too. I ordered an adult beverage which was the Berry Margarita. It arrived too fruity looking (in my opinion) and I expected it to taste weird. But again, it was soooooo good. The berry wasn’t overwhelming and the Don Julio blended nice and smooth. I do love some Don Julio. I think Don Julio is coolio. (trademark, patent pending, copyright). There was just ONE ISSUE!!! The fruit fly. My arch nemesis. He found me, and wouldn’t leave me alone. But, that’s no reason to remove a star, right? 5 stars it is!!!

We caught the last half hour of happy hour. It was still pretty busy at that time, but we were seated right away. Our server was Bruno. He was quick, friendly and informative. He helped us with our beer selection and found one that we both liked! We got the boneless wings and the chips trio with guac salsa and queso. Excellent value and pretty decent vibe. We will definitely be back!
