Bob Godsill moved to Middleton, Idaho in 1979 to pursue a career as a business owner. In July of 1988 Bob finally made his dream a reality when he purchased Nicks Sunrise Restaurant in Meridian. In the years to follow Bob became a successful business owner opening many locations in the Treasure Valley due to one simple philosophy; “ I don’t have employees, I have family; I don’t have customers, I have friends.” Bob Godsill passed away into the Lords arms on Tuesday, December 20th, 2005 at the age of 66. To this day we strive to implement Bob’s philosophy.

I was excited about the cinnamon french toast I ordered and they looked great, but unfortunately they did not taste very good. They were very sour, maybe they used sour cream or something? which I didn’t expect and it ruined it for me. Probably should have returned it and got something else but I hate doing that. Everything else tasted good and the service was fine.

Absolutely the BEST service. We had breakfast, cooked to perfection, delivered to our table hot and was perfectly cooked. The portions are quite generous so be plenty hungry when you stop by. They are also Gluten sensitive which is extremely appreciated due to my Intolerance to gluten.

I’d had similar experiences in boise and meridian but that atmosphere doesn’t exist like sunrise anywhere. Was hungry for my favorite the Great White Omelet. Was not on the menu but my waitress knew exactly what I wanted. Blue bench is good food but just not the same. Please bring back a sunrise to boise!?

Love it. Always feels like coming home. Everything is genuine. Just good country comfort food! Plain and simple. I get the bargain breakfast with country potatoes extra crispy (takes a little longer because hash browns are a bish to cook but well worth the wait if you like soft potatoes mixed with potatoe chip type ones), bacon strips, and French toast. French toast was perfection! Best part is the whipped butter

Skip this location. We arrived on saturday morning around 11:30am. We were able to get a table right away. Our order was placed and we sat for an hour to get food. I ordered fried potatoes, a couple eggs and pancakes. We the fried potatoes were burnt to a crisp. The eggs came back cooked correctly to my surprise and the pancakes were almost not edible. They were not overcooked but the bottom side was so hard you could not cut it. All the food items arrived at the table cold. expected more out of a place that gets good reviews. I for one wont go back.
