The owner is super cool and has no problem explaining any of the items on the menu and can give good recommendations.

Absolutely wonderful experience here and even better food! The gentleman that took our order and also was cooking these amazing dishes was an absolute pleasure to meet! He seems to be very hardworking and dedicated to his craft! We will absolutely be back and thank you for making our 6 year wedding anniversary lunch a moment to remember, I wish this business much success and happiness!

I have been wanting Indian food for a while and this place satisfied my craving for it. I had unlucky timing since they were restocking for lamb when I got there. Everything was made to order even the naan. The staff member was respectful and showed pride in cooking his naan. Later found out his position is to handle the cash register and the cook on shift was busy prepping food for dinner. The staff member was gonna finally eat his lunch but took priority of the customer to order and eat their food. Definitely coming back to try the lamb and enjoy good hospitality.

3rd time Ive been here. First was good but a tad slow. 2nd didn’t eat because cashier told us it’d be at least an hour wait, though there was maybe 2-3 other parties in the entire place. 3rd we waited an hour during lunch for a salad and curry. Picture attached of how empty the place was.

If you’re looking for more authentic and better tasting Indian food, just go to Saffron. The service at this place is a joke. Staff were yelling at each other with customers present. Food takes an hour to get served and the naan was somehow cold when it finally came out. It blows my mind how people think the food here is edible. Don’t waste your time with this place. It’s a joke.

Not the best for almost $30. I ordered kabobs, basically burnt chicken with peppers, onions and carrots on a bed of rice with charred pieces. I ordered jalapeño paneer for $4.50 and didn’t get it. I got two small pieces of naan without any cheese or jalapeños. The only thing good was the pakora.

We visited for dinner last night and the food was absolutely delicious. I got the butter chicken and a side of the garlic Naan and they were both incredible. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. The reason I am giving four stars is due to the fact the workers were playing a movie on the TV’s, very loudly. It was so loud and distracting that we actually moved tables to try and be further away. It would’ve made the restaurant a much more inviting place to visit had they been playing some music instead. Sadly, even though the food was delicious, the atmosphere inside would make me think twice about eating dinner there again.

I’ve really wanted this place to work for me and my boyfriend (who is Indian). I love Indian food and it’s the only place in Waco to get some. Every time we go, we order and hope it’s better than last time. The rice is always soggy no matter what time you order. The samosas are packaged and pre-made. They don’t make them from scratch. They taste like any samosa from a grocery store box. I ordered butter paneer which is VERY EASY TO MAKE. It should be full of spice and sweetness, but it tasted like watered down gravy. The paneer is not soft. It should be easy to cut with a spoon, but mine was not. I ordered a Mango Lassi that took 40 minutes to make, and my boyfriend can make one at home in 5 minutes. Not to mention with all these problems you still pay way too much!!! We paid $50 and left with food worth $10. We have tried multiple times to give this place a chance, but we won’t be going back again.

Rather slow cooking speed with just okay service. I’m not sure if I’d go back but the food tasted pretty decent. I was burping it up half the day afterwards though, which makes me think something was a tad old.

I used to come here all the time and it was one of the best places to eat in Waco, what happened??? They were out out of all their cold drinks, out of several dishes, they’d stopped offering some of their dishes (but left them on the menu), and neither of the guys working knew how to make Masala chai tea. The mango lassi is nothing like it used to taste. Food quality is still high, and portions are large, but it took 39 minutes to get after ordering; it never used to take so long! And I watched as other people came in, ordered after me, but got their food before me! And no, that was not someone picking up an online order. Worst of all, I got really bad food poisoning immediately after eating here and spent the rest of the day in a bathroom. Please update your menu, train your staff better, and do something about running out of ingredients. I used to love coming here but now it just makes me sad
