Sat outside for lunch. Waiter/bartender was super nice and helpful. Since it had rained for 2 straight months the hostess should have known the seats were going to need drying before showing us our bench table uggg. Food was pretty good. Quick easy burgers and some interesting app choices. 8 people $200.

Arrived to our inn in Stowe pretty late, so we had to find somewhere still open, and settled on Backyard. Wow, this place is great! The servers and bartenders are awesome, friendly, and very welcoming. The beer selection was fantastic, and the food was incredible. And the atmosphere…just perfect after a long day of traveling. On an August evening, the outdoor seating was nothing less than ideal. So glad our circumstances ended up with us “settling on” Backyard, because otherwise we would have missed it on this awesome place. If you visit Stowe, make sure you eat here!

I got the cheese sandwich, which was tasty but ended up being too salty for my palate. When the waitress discovered this, she removed the cost of it from our bill. I wasn’t expecting that and it was a nice surprise and such great hospitality. When we’re in Stowe again, I hope to try other dishes they have to offer.

We love the Backyard and frequent it often. Good, simple food that is done really well. Everything you could want after an outdoor activity. If you are a mountain biker, it’s located right in the same parking lot as the Cady Hill trails which is a plus.

We just stopped in here for a drink. They didn’t have any gluten free or gluten reduced beers for me, unfortunately. But they did have some ciders and good wine. The bartender and atmosphere were both fantastic, as was the outdoor seating area. Love the environment!
