Brisket and sausage were sold out when we got there. Turkey sandwich was the best I’ve ever had. Also tried the Ribs, pork tacos, and pork sandwich and all were amazing. Will definitely stop by again (a bit earlier) next time I’m in the area.

Located in a food truck just north of Longview, you’d think this would be humble BBQ but it is anything but. Bryan Bingham and his crew are doing incredible work, anchoring their traditional brisket/ribs/pork/sandwiches with newer items like tacos and creative specials and sides. This place will be in the next Texas Monthly Top 50, so get there before the lines become too long

Stopped in to try the brisket and was really impressed. The lean slice was juicy and very tender and the fatty slice was almost falling apart. The seasoning was very good as well. I don’t normally like to many BBQ sauces. Most places in East Texas tend to have super sweet sauces but Sunbird’s BBQ sauce had a good blend of sweet and tangy with a little heat and was very good. If your looking for top notch BBQ in North East Texas I highly recommend this place!

Brisket and sausage sandwich is straight fire. Street corn with the brisket is to die for. Ribs couldn’t have been better. They were seasoned perfectly and had a nice bite to them. Can’t wait to return for more!

By far the best BBQ I have had yet. I travel a lot in TX and get to try some amazing BBQ. I actually just had Black’s BBQ in Austin….known as one of the best in the state. The pitmaster from Sunbird is still the best around. Small town Longview is very fortunate.

Stopping by after 1pm on Saturday, I was kicking myself for being so late, as I was in the mood for some of Sunbird’s delicious brisket. Sure enough, he had just wiped the board of all their selections except for the pork belly tacos, that I had never tried before. Oh, well, I ordered two. Oh, my goodness, they were awesome! Perfectly roasted, slightly smoky pork belly with a little onion, cilantro, and pineapple. Just right!
