The food is usually good when I come here, but the service is terrible. The servers are good at taking orders, but they’re lazy and uncompromising. Usually their bloody mary’s are good. Today, they were TERRIBLE! AND the server we had chose to defend her bartenders rather than replace our friend from out of town’s HORRIBLY made Bloody Mary. Rather than try to find a compromise or find a way to make up for it, the server just told us there was nothing she could do. I can’t count how many times a bartender has given me a replacement drink or has taken it off the bill in cases like this, but even after debating this with this server, she just said she couldnt do that. If it weren’t for the fact that I have a loud mouth, mentioned the possibility of a couple bad reviews, and a $0 tip, they wouldnt have done a thing and they would’ve made a tourist and first time visitor pay for a menu item that she refused to consume due to it being poorly made. Finally, another employee, who’s old friends with my girlfriend came out to apologize and they did remove the drink from the bill. But I literally had to be a Karen in order to help my friend get her terrible Bloody Mary, that she refused, taken off the bill.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. 1-We called to place a to-go order and we’re put on hold for over 10 minutes, during which we could hear the wait staff talking about the customer on the phone and how they’d probably hung up already – THEN never picked up the phone to check. The food is abysmal, 2- my medium rare stake was served overly well-done. 3- The biscuits are under cooked. 4- The lettuce is brown. 5- The ranch is watered down and chunky. $60 for two extremely bad meals we couldn’t eat is unacceptable and depressing.

WARNING: THE RESTAURANT IS NEXT DOOR – That being said the restaurant is extremely cozy with the chairs and tables. The server was very nice and friendly even to the rude guests. We had the po’ boy sandwich and the chickafee sandwich. Both sandwiches were so good it should almost be criminal. With the sandwiches we ordered a couple of drink, a mixed margarita that you can order to be strawberry, mango or both! Lastly, we had an appetizer of bacon fries and they were so good! They come in a huge batch so you could enjoy then with a few beers or drinks! Overall, the service was awesome the food even more so!

I pay attention to my intuition and my intuition said step into this place for some fish and chips, and boy was I correct! Beer-battered cod, plank fries, and an amazing dinner salad. My body was more than satisfied, good classic juke box with all the right tunes. Visit this historic gem for great food, great service, and wonderful Arcata, California atmosphere.

Nice place with a wide variety of bloody marys, although they do use a mix and they are not hand made there is a cute patio and have a restaurant. Downtown across the street from the plaza.

Dive bar with amazing cheap pub food. Vegan friendly! Cocktails are not fancy but are poured heavy and they always have a few fun cocktail specials. Easy parking in the square. Has a jukebox (pay to play), a couple pinball machines, and a pool table.
