My husband found this health conscious black-owned spot located in Farmington. The salads are green and fresh. The vegetables were fresh & cut well and the serving area was clean. I was pleasantly surprised with this little place. Staff were friendly and generous with servings…most importantly they serve healthy food! They also sell gift cards to purchase for the holidays and invite others to try this hidden gem.

I was looking forward to this place opening. With a name like BIG SALAD, I expected more. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with beets and black olives added on. I had a lot of Romaine center pieces and all the lettuce was a little sad looking. It just didn’t taste fresh. This baffled me because this restaurant is right outside the Farmers market that has many local farmers selling fresh lettuce every Saturday. I have better looking lettuce in my fridge from the Farmers Market, right now. They could do better for the $9. I MIGHT give them another chance with their soups and sandwiches, but the salad is a pass.

This is perfect for a quick, healthy lunch. I got the Cobb salad and really enjoyed. My husband got a sandwich and only wished it had been toasted (not just warmed). The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. We ate outside.

First time there, and I was excited to visit because I love salads. The greeting was not the warmest, and I feel the prices were a bit too much for the amount of toppings given for the salad. The lettuce was not fresh. I don’t have to try this place ever again, especially not the Farmington Hills location!

My first vist i was not impressed!! It was a little unclean when I walked in very hot the portion size was not matching the price ! The spicy chicken was good overall the salad was good but it’s a salad ♀️paid extra for ranch if I’m in the area I would stop by but I definitely wouldn’t make a special trip just to go there !!! This is just my opinion

My turkey cranberry sandwich was mostly bread with a dollop of food in the center. The salad was bland and measley. No wonder they couldn’t make it in Novi. When I first ate there years ago, in Troy, the food was good. Won’t be back. One outta ten, I wouldn’t recommend!

This was my first visit to The Big Salad. I tried the southwest chicken salad, it was delicious. The chicken had just the right amount of spice, the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The staff were all friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. I look forward to coming back.
