Menu makes the food look great. Prices had increased so the new prices where written in smeared sharpie. I was concerned that the escape doors to the outdoor patio were partially blocked by long tables. FIRE HAZARD anyone? The tables are so close together, the back of your head will touch the back of the head of the person sitting behind you. After moving our table and chairs, we were a little more comfortable. Food turned out good. We will definitely give it another try.

The server was so friendly and he was always smiling. Mexican food is Mexican food you know. Standard taste, delicious ✨ $15 per meal that we got. I recommend the restaurant is authentic and clean. No heavy smell inside and all the walls are window, I mean spacious atmosphere in it. Cool✨

This bartender is a racist I sat at the bar 20 min was completely looked over. She was serving & helping everybody but me. Didn’t get offered chips, salsa or a menu. When the lady behind the bar finally came my direction she still didn’t acknowledge me. She was talking to another customer beside me. The other customer had to tell her to pay me attention! And when she finally did…she didn’t even bring a menu. I ordered one drink and she never brought it to me. I walked out. I’ve been to this location multiple times and never was treated so poorly. This place discriminates. But I don’t waste my money at establishments like this and this type of treatment was traumatizing.I thought everyone was equal.I would leave 0 stars if I could she needs to be fired. Because she could have at least acknowledged me like I was a human being.

Everything was great! I visited around 5:30 on cinco de mayo and waited 30mins to be seated as they informed. Complimentary chips and salsa tastes good. I ordered chicken fajitas $10.99 special price on Thursday. Food tastes delicious, fresh, large portions and server was friendly, helpful and the restaurant was very busy. I enjoyed my dinner and they managed very well with that much crowd. I would recommend this restaurant.

We dine at El Jalisco restaurants all over Tallahassee. This evening, we did not have a great experience at the Southwood location. We waited almost 15 minutes for a server to come and greet us. We asked a few people to let our server know we were there. I understand it was the holiday and the restaurant was starting to get busy. But we still should have been greeted on time. Even greeting us when we sat down and letting us know she would be back to take our order would have been nice. Our server was not very attentive, and we had to ask for water refills. She would visit the table next to us, but not turn and look to see if we needed anything. I was disappointed in our experience this time.

Went to El Jalisco in Southwood during lunch with a coworker and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were served. We were seated right away and our waitress immediately came to the table. The food was hot and came out no less than 15 minutes. We’ve visited several times and will definitely be back. Sn: we arrived a little before 12 to beat the lunch crowd.

If I can give 0 stars I would. To begin we were seated and it took forever for the waiter to come to our table. The hostess at the front had to remind our waiter twice we were sitting out there and waiting. People who came after us received chips and salsa before our waiter even came to acknowledge us. When the waiter finally came we felt rushed and like they didn’t want to serve us. I’ve been going to El jalisco’s for years on capital Circle NE and Monroe, the service has always been great. This El jalisco’s service was horrible and the portion size compared to others were way smaller. I’m usually a big tipper but I didn’t tip big this time. We were so ready to leave that we didn’t even get our second margaritas due to the service. First and last time eating there.
