Two of us shared a dozen crabs. There was a mix of sizes, because “that’s the way (they) do it”. There were 2 mediums, 2 jumbo, and the rest were large and heavy with sweet meat. What a treat, and a bargain, at $50/dozen.

Went to pickupbat our time and they werent ready, told to come back in 40. Crabs were seasoned well and plump. A simple joy.

Went and got a half a bushel of crabs. Spent $100 and maybe ate 2 or 3. These crabs tasted like they were sitting for weeks. Others had visible mold on them and extreme discoloration. Would have called and return them but we drove 30 minutes one way to grab them. Would not recommend

Don’t be deceived by the lack of storefront here. We pulled up, bought crabs, and ate them right in the front yard. We were set up with paper, utensils, and even got some free corn. A bit pricey ($40 for a dozen) but the crabs were fresh and meaty!

Very pleased with the crabs but very upsetting on waiting time. We called ahead and still had to wait an HR after they said they didn’t have “record” of our call

very down-to-earth highway location and has been around many years… I have picked up my fresh and steamed crabs from Billy’s since moving to Chestertown in 2003. Always fresh, seasoned anyway you want and at very good prices. Best to reserve what you want ahead of time, especially with large orders but many times I have been able to pick up smaller quantities within an hour or two.

Crabs were supposedly number ones only. There were maybe 3x ones in the bushel, the rest were small 2’s. We also had to wait 25 minutes after our scheduled pickup time for the crabs to be ready (second time that’s happened to us there).

The place is a ramshackle collection of abandoned cars and old refrigerators and other junk. Amid it all is Billy, a classic dude selling crabs from Louisiana – not Maryland! He didn’t have the crabs I ordered (big) and Half the ones he sold me were bad and the others had little meat. At $50 a dozen it was a terrible deal and the experience earned Billys one star, barely

I really like this place. You have to find it but it’s worth it. To me it’s one of those hidden treasures. Crabs are well seasoned and they give you a really good price depending on what you want. The people are really nice. I actually bought some seasoning from them, I still have and use it. I will definitely be back this coming summer for more haha
