Stopped in with an old friend to catch up for an early Saturday dinner. The pizza was quite good, nice crisp crust, flavorful toppings. My friend said his burger and fries were very good. Onion rings were pretty bad – crispy, but no real flavor to them – not from the onions or any seasoning.

The food was good. However, we were charged double service charge. The waitress comes without the bill with her credit card device only which suggest 20% service charge. Then when we requested the bill, it turned out that the service charge was already included. So she got we got charged double. This really Soward the experience.

Walked in on a Sunday around noon, not busy at all. Our waiter Pierre was very pleasant and attentive. Food was 20/10! I’m not giving 5 stars simply because it wasn’t busy and the wait for our food was veryyyy long.

We ordered lunch for our shop the menu and the food which is delivered is completely different, they are hassling, specially crispy chiken Cobb salad,it said it has chiken in it, but nothing in it and charge you $23:00 before tax, I don’t recommend this restaurant which snacking people money with fake menu

I had not been to Matchbox in a few years so when I came back for dinner with friends it was an amazing experience. I am gluten intolerant, so my server David was great at pointing out which options did not have gluten and let me know I could get a gluten free pizza. It was great, the fig and prosciutto pizza really hit the spot. He also made our group a margarita that he likes and made for us. i was a good night and having David as our server made it 10 times better.

Excellent location with large patio space and afternoon sun. The other restaurants nearby are all located on the southbound side of Wisconsin, which tends to be shaded by buildings in the afternoons. The question IS does DC or the world need another pizza restaurant? Perhaps not. However, Cathedral Heights has the demand with only 2 Amys nearby selling pizzas and often overbooked. The pizzas we had, on a Friday, were ‘meh’ average and while there were ample servers, the service was lackluster. As a newly opened Matchbox in DC (about a month), one might expect more flare and energy? Still the location is very inviting for a casual afternoon gathering on the patio. Pizzas come in 14 inch diameters cut into 8 slices.

The staff was professional, welcoming, and the food delicious! We were taken care of by a lovely young lady named Hayden, who was quick and incredibly helpful.
