Got the sampler platter with okra and baked beans. Okra was typical. Baked beans above typical. The ribs were fall off the bone wonderful. Everyone at the table was yumming up a fog. Pork BBQ was excellent and even the chicken strips were good. Service was very good. Very, very friendly folks.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the BBQ pork plate was. I frequent BBQ places throughout the south and normally when you want good BBQ you find a Mom & Pa place that has been in business for decades where all the locals go to eat. There you find the best BBQ. Chain BBQ places are normally average at best, BUT, Shane’s Rib Shack is an exception. The BBQ pork was excellent. Cooked to perfection. No sauce needed. The pork & beans were good as well.

Food would be better if fries were fresh and hot and not a little warm. Sandwich was ok but kind of messy. Salt on each table was clogged or something, if you wanted salt for your cold fries you had to get little packets. Lol Always seemed to have a fly flying around, made me wonder how clean the backroom was.

The atmosphere is like most typical BBQ places. I had the rib basket. It was almost perfect. The cut of meat was generous and enough to be filling. I enjoyed the Brunswick stew as well. Nice pieces of pulled meat in a savory broth. The coleslaw is a little carroty. The selection of sauces is typical but there is something for everyone’s pallet.

Toast was dry had no butter. Meat was cold. I will never be back at this location again. I am an avid Shane’s Rib Shack customer, I eat at the ones in Covington and Henry County. This one in Millageville is the worst. The host was nice, but the sorry excuse for food is not acceptable
