A great little diner, the Dominic Jalapeño Jack Burger was so good. They were all cooked perfect but the star of the show was definitely the ice cream. Warm brownies, an ice cream sandwich with ALL the toppings, banana split, and a Sunday were all good options and the presentation was so cute. Friendly staff, well kept. Four meals, desserts and drinks for about $60 made it worth stopping for.

Cute place but not enough staff!! A young fella took our order then lost it!! We waited for rootbeer floats for over 30 minutes. The red haired girl took care of us and everyone else in the place. The cook was doing his best with the young guy just talking to him. A bit more training for the young guy in the area of customer service and food service cleanliness. Hand washing etc.

The food was okay, not bad. We all had cheeseburgers (4) with chips, but the cook forgot to put cheese on one of them. The salad was good. The service is lacking. A very nice young lady took our order. The food took over 45 mins. There were a total of 4 families in the restaurant. 2 other families were served before us, even though we had been there way before their arrival. Again, the food was okay. I would have liked to have had a sundae with my family, but I did not want to be sitting there for another 30-45 mins. to be served again. Forget it. We will not be returning. Too bad because it is a cute place.

I have eaten here before with coworkers. Food is good. Service is slow. Last time a group of us went to eat, we had to leave and go somewhere else so we could make it back to work on time. We waited over 15 minutes, and not even a drink order was taken. Cute place.

Did not get a chance to try their food. Came in sat down, server gave us the menus. Then sat there for 40 minutes and no one came over to take our order, give us drinks, to check on us, or anything. They were not busy at all maybe 1 other family and a few people at the bar, and instead of serving us they served 3 people who came in after us that sat at the bar. Was looking for a fun place to take the family on a regular basis but if that’s the service they give then I will take my business elsewhere.

Y’all, I know the 1950’s and 60’s aren’t “in” with the young people right now (give it 10 years and it’ll be back again), but you should really give this place a chance! It’s a better candy store than the others in the Amarillo area, they’ve got Funko Pop characters that are hard to find, and frankly the ice cream, sodas, and food are all great! If you’re a baby boomer, this is your nostalgia spot, If you’re an X’er, this place will give you fond memories of your parents talking about their childhood. If you’re a Z-enial-alpha, you need to try this since the classic soda shop is a Delicious part of American history. This place hits every note of what an old malt shop should be!

Awesome little soda and ice cream shop. It’s one of the few places open somewhat late in Canyon. The staff was cheerful and seemed genuinely happy to talk to us about the small town life. Do yourself a favor and pick up some freeze dried candy that they freeze dry in store. Thanks to the lovely young lady that gave us samples to try we left with plenty to take home to share.
