Got the plate lunch on Thursday (smothered beef) and it was delicious! Although I’m not originally from Louisiana, my boyfriend is and he was very impressed and compared it to a home cooked meal. We’re excited to go back and add Kartchner’s to our regular rotation of take out options.

Out of plate lunches by 11:30 on Super Bowl Sunday??? You would think they could have anticipated that more should have been planned for. I was able to get a pork steak lunch. Definitely was not something I would go back there for. Tasted like it had been cooked the day before and reheated with sauce.

Great place to shop for Cajun specialty meats, smoked sausages, boudin and all things Cajun including roux, quail eggs, spices, fried ribs, boudin balls and egg rolls, chicken balls stuffed w pepper jack cheese, etc. Package liquor and desserts available. Polite, well trained, helpful, attractive staff makes shopping here a joy. A great one stop shop conveniently located in the middle of Johnston St in Lafayette LA.

I am at the drive thru at least twice weekly getting boudain and I have no complaints there HOWEVER… went inside and bought a tub of “Dressing Mix”, went home and tried it out looking forward to the same great flavor as the boudain and what a disappointment!! Boring Yankee flavor, nothing close to their boudain! Maybe its time to look elsewhere…..

Might want to revise your store hours on your website. Your website says opens at 7am but when someone pulls in at 7:05 and your employees tell them y’all don’t open till 8am on weekends. Definitely wasted trip going off what the times the website said.
