Tried this place for the first time today- as we got out of the car- it smelled SOOOO good, we couldn’t wait to go in. The staff was awesome! Our server was one of the best we have had in a long time! I ordered the parea burger with green Chile and my wife got the cheese enchiladas with green. They were both soooo good! Definitely some of the best enchiladas I’ve had! Everything tasted homemade. It truly tasted like we were eating at someone’s home. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and getting a bite to eat here! Save room for their sopapillas!!!!

I really didn’t have a good experience here. I had high hopes walking in; it’s a small place and there were plenty of people seated, however it kind of went downhill from there. My waitress didn’t really understand the menu and had to read it to see what is ordered and what it came with. She actually almost put in the wrong item, huevos rancheros instead of carne adovada plate.

The Hatch chile on our breakfast was so very flavorful, it’s spicy and not for light weights for sure, I think it only comes in one flavor but the New Mexicans and Native Albuquerque-ians love it that way, this place is definitely a locals place for delicious food, they sell salsa by the pint also, the waitress here was so very helpful in helping us find a spot we could buy our own chiles…we made it to the Chile Konnection because of her recommendation.

FIRST AND LAST TIME CUSTOMER! Checked out the pictures online. All plates smothered in Chile… Called our order in. Two $12 Carne Adovada Breakfast plates. Plates didn’t have and potatos. Went back to get them replaced. Asked to speak to the manager, but the manager was “to busy” to bother coming out from the kitchen. So we told the cashier to give us our money back. Carne Adovada didn’t have any chile! I mean look at the picture that plate is dry. NOT REAL NEW MEXICAN FOOD. I suggest you go elsewhere to get a true New Mexican experience.

I had the chicharone burrito smothered with green chile. The chile was hot, the chicharones were small bite-sized and crunchy, not chewy and soggy. The tortillas were made there, and with butter, they were delicious. The refried beans were amazing. The service was great. Friendly atmosphere. I will be going back soon and taking my family.

A very nice Saturday breakfast. Restaurant was pretty crowded around 9 AM but they got us seat right away. My wife had eggs, potatos and bacon along with hot cakes. All was good and there was lots of bacon. I had huevos rancheros which was also very good. We will stop back again.

I just have to shout out the waitstaff. We went today, it was crazy busy and short staffed but the waitstaff was so courteous and amazing and the food came out in a timely manner and was DELICIOUS as always. Good job ladies, you rocked it out today!

Perea’s has been my favorite New Mexician restaurant for over 20 years. They have the best green chile anywhere! The red chile is top notch as well. Try anything…you’ll love it! The green chile sauce was amazingly delicious today. It is truly the best in town

Delicious food, sweet servers, reasonable prices. The stuffed sopas I had this morning were EXCELLENT. The only downside is that it’s a small restaurant and when they get people waiting, the servers start checking on you a lot more regularly and it starts to feel like they’re hurrying you along.

Very limited menu. Really small place. The rellenos were delish though. I’ll have to try another dish here sometime. Service was ok. The salsa for chips to go could be a bigger side rather than a spoonful of nothing.
