This place is now hit and miss, day to day. It used to be a great place to relax, chill and food was pretty decent. But now, most of the time, they run out of food or the utensils are dirty and/or not stocked and coffee are running low for a long time. It’s like employees don’t care any more. I also had food poison from here a few months ago. Food is not well prepared like it used to be. No TLC from the cook. Anyway, it’s going downhill for sure. I am hoping things will change for the better. I do want to come back. I like the “old” la Madeleine much better, when the workers actually work. Don’t know what had happen for it to be so bad now.

The family and I love eating here! The food is fresh and delicious. My favorites are the Chicken Caesar sandwich and tomato soup. The freshly baked bread is always great as well. They have lots of amazing desserts… we recommend to anyone looking for something different than a burger place.

A Snoball’s Chance in Hellcat
I frequently order through their app and select pick-up. I love the convenience of this. However, I’ve had 2 recent orders where an item is out of stock, which is a bummer. The restaurant isn’t able to give refunds, so I am required to select an alternate item, which sometimes is a great alternative, other times I’d gladly accept the refund.

Needs management to come and walk through – the male restroom was unusable according to my husband. Fruit flies were near the rhubarb.lemons, and ice dispenser. Also in the ladies room. Needs an overall cleaning and heat up soups before serving. Jefferson Highway was much better location when comparing the two. Staff was very nice.

Delicious assortment of meals to choose from. Friendly and helpful staff. Beverage & bread stations are in the dining area so you can serve yourself. The cafe ambience is nice, with a rustic French setting. Get their mobile app and receive offers/rewards. For meal recommendations: “Pasta La Madeleine” with shrimps or chicken is very good and has lots of mushrooms in it. The “Cafe Sampler” gives you a choice of 3 food items to try, from soups, sandwiches, salads, pasta, etc. They have seasonal offerings on their menu, along with the regular items that are good and enjoyable. Always an enjoyable dining experience.
