Fantastic restaurant in North Beach. Bartender, waiters and management are very friendly and welcoming. The tiramisu is totally worth it! All the other dishes were amazing, but the tiramisu was very much something! Their signature dish is gnocchi Firenze it is simple, but amazing. The tomato cream sauce is perfect. As an appetizer I had the minestrone soup again just great. You must visit this restaurant if you’re in San Francisco.

Best Italian restaurant in San Fran for sure. We had an amazing dinner with perfectly cooked escargot and the yummiest braised lamb we’ve had (maybe ever). We arrived late and were the last ones to leave but the staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Quite enjoyed the lovely ambience that reminded us of Florence with the statue of David and the panoramic backdrop of Florence on a wall. The chef/owner is brilliant. So talented! We can’t wait to go back .

Paolo is a great host. We ate at the bar and the service was awesome-I asked for butter instead of olive oil for the bread and they didn’t kick me out:), drinks were awesome. We had the carpaccio, calamari, Tortellini, Capellini. This is our North Beach go to going forward.

What a treat! Delicious, unfussy, authentic meal where simple dishes were perfectly executed. Our party got the beet salad app special, calamari vinaigrette (served cold, with olive oil and acid), pappardelle alla Maria (rabbit sauce), linguine alla Paolo (garlic and anchovies), and I got the gnocchi Firenze which was some of the lightest, pillowy-est, most delightful gnocchi I’ve ever had. Service was efficient and unpretentious. Meal was a great value and made us feel satisfied and happy. We walked in with no reservation on a Thursday at 6:30pm and were seated immediately. Would dine here again.

The best thing about this place are the people. Sergio, the owner is just a delight, and the service is friendly, warm and very much reminds me of Italy. Order the saltimbocca which is terrific. I like the rabbit pappardelle as well.
