I have been here twice, food was good on both occasions. Big burger, very good fries. Fried cheese curds and scotch olives are good too.

Excellent food. The California burger isn’t too well seasoned, but it can be overlooked because the flavor was still fantastic.

This place has been polarizing for me. Sometimes the food is GREAT but sometimes it’s just plain bad.

This is my new favorite place in town to eat! My friend took me there for my Birthday. Love the food!

We stopped in Assembly for a couple beers before dinner. The place was in between lunch and starting dinner so it was a little quiet. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. The bread they make in house is awesome. We would have ordered dinner but it was a little on the pricier side of what we were wanting to pay.

This place has great potential, and we had high hopes, especially when the bread we were served was fantastic, but all the pieces just weren’t there. Service seemed understaffed, and we had to ask for things multiple times. The food was completely overpriced but only mediocre. My steak was extremely tough, the Mac and cheese was blah, and the $27 fish special was only okay. Overall, we wish we could’ve loved it, but it ended up being a tourist trap.

Assembly is my idea of what a CA bistro should be. The food is innovative & interesting. The portions are reasonable and there are lots of great pairings with local wines and brews. the decor and surroundings are tastefully done and match the restaurant’s vibe.Prices are fair.

I’ve eaten out several times since relocating from London to SF a few months ago and this was easily the best food I’ve had.
