Our server gave us GREAT recommendations – the Reuben and the fish and chips were cooked perfectly. My mom said the Reuben was maybe the best one she’s ever had. It was my first time eating fish and chips but I would absolutely order it here again. We ordered the potato chips covered in bacon and cheese as well and they were way too salty. Honestly the other food was so fantastic that we wished we hadn’t gotten the chips – it felt mediocre in comparison.

We decided to eat here in the spur of the moment and I’m so glad we did. Palmer was an incredibly gracious and friendly server and the food was amazing. While probably not typical Irish food, I got the main street club burger & a side of beer cheese to dip my fries in. my partner got the patty melt. There were several vegetarian options, too. Both of our meals were phenomenal & we would highly recommend you supporting them!

We had fish and chips and the fish was very fresh. The batter held up really well and stayed crispy. Mashed potatoes were surprisingly good. We had a good time there.

Cool little place. Ordered the tators, Rueben and cottage pie. All great. We’re not in Franklin often, but will definitely come back in the future. Wanting to try some of their craft beers as well. And the Dublin pot pie!

Nice little Irish pub in downtown Franklin. The food was good. I had the rueben. The bread was very lightly toasted if not at all, but it was good. This is a busy little pub and especially on this holiday. Love the small quaint vibe it had. My only complaint would be that our server was a little too inattentive. We had to ask for a couple of things from other servers that were regularly walking by to their tables.

We came here the day after St Patrick’s day. There was a live band that was really good and fun. There’s a few vegetarian options. I got the Portobello mushroom sandwich. It came with fries. We also got the cheese curds appetizer. Everything was delicious. I tried the Earl Gray Martini, which was also very good.

Go ahead and load up in your car and head this way. I will not lie and say that McCreary’s wasn’t my first option, but I loved that it was downtown Franklin. We loaded up and got seated in a cozy close knit room, and reminded me of my time in Ireland. We decided we would split a couple entrees a appetizer, and some soup and we were NOT disappointed. The bangers and mash are a must, and mix well with their soda bread. We then got our side cup of potato soup of the day, and it was easily one of my favorites I had. We then split the fish and chips and Jam (I think) burger. Everything was truly so so good, and we both said it was the most satisfied we have been at a restaurant in a long time. The prices are very fair and the food speaks for it. Add McCreary’s to your must go list and enjoy a great environment, good food, and great service.

Very busy today due to a Dickens themed holiday festival on Main Street! Had cottage pie with local Porter Road seasoned ground beef in a gravy base with peas, carrots and celery, with a mixture of herbs and spices. Also enjoyed a draft beer with my meal! Literally, Santa Claus sat at the table next to me and had the same dish! Not a very large restaurant, but a friendly staff and patrons made for a really great experience! Recommend this Irish pub!

Cozy welcoming vibe. Definitely feels like an authentic neighborhood Irish pub. Very friendly staff and excellent food. Prices are reasonable. This is probably one of the most affordable restaurants in downtown Franklin. It’s a small place and can fill up fast Thursday through Sunday at mealtimes.
