Will come back! I have celiac and this place is very gluten free friendly. The food was great. The portions are huge. I ordered an extra side of rice and beans to go with my leftovers for dinner later.

Walked in with my family on a Sunday night, no customers at all. That’s usually not a good sign but since we saw that Google showed 3.5 we were hungry and nearby before we headed back to Redwood City, we figured we chance it. Ordered and the one person that we saw there was what was most likely the owner, she was nice. She accommodated my picky daughters with their dishes and it was way more than enough food and drinks for them. Spaghetti and meatballs and a custom hamburger for the other, big portions and huge drinks. They liked their dishes. My wife and I shared a 3 meat BBQ dish, ribs, brisket and tritip with Cole Slaw and vegetables. Huge plate and I would say enough for three adults. So portions were really good. My wife did not like the Cole Slaw, I liked the vegetables, but although I did eat the three meats it was somewhat too salty. My wife ate very little, she couldn’t take the salty part and we took the rest home. We wanted to like it more but maybe it was because it was the end of the evening I don’t know. Maybe better when busy and food is rotating more. Don’t know.

Great takeout! We got a family meal with a variety of tender meats, smoked sausage, and sides. They were all great. I wish the cornbread muffins were a little more moist or had come with butter/honey. We’d absolutely eat here again!

My husband and I found this little place driving out of Monterey and there was a BBQ sign flinging in the wind… we went in and it had soft jazz music playing in the background with a small bar and jazz memorabilia all over the walls. The decor was older themed and quaint. Felt very comfortable and was seated by the gentleman whom appeared to be the owner, manager, waiter and cook! I ordered the brisket sandwich and was brought a huge feast of a sandwich with nice sliced pieces of smoked brisket!! Real brisket! It was absolutely amazing! Fresh and smoked perfectly!! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and it was New Orleans style bbq! It was so good also!! The man was so friendly and service was superb! Thank you for a wonderful meal! I would definitely come back to try the other dishes as well!!

Don’t believe the negative reviews!! We stopped in to give it a shot and boy oh boy huge portions very delicious! The woman isn’t rude she is a Russian woman who has a strong accent sometimes there are such things as language barriers ppl .. drop in and enjoy definitely try the red beans & rice the stroganoff the jambalaya! We ordered the 3 meat plate it was enormous!! Best smoked bbq I’ve had !!

We ordered the BBQ brisket sandwiches and unfortunately both were dry, and really not sure about the bbq sauce. It was a taste both of us didn’t like at all!! The BBQ chicken sandwich had the same terrible bbq sauce as well as a fatty component which made it unappealing. Very disappointing
