The food was good. The cook knew what he was doing and fixed my medium just right. I had paneer dish and it was fragrant and delicious. I also enjoyed garlic naan. The place prepares southern Indian dishes. The decor was nice, but the place could be cleaner.

Enjoyed delicious Kerala meals today. They serve halal meat, confirmed withe management. Alpng with meals, i had Sardan fry which was awesome. Everything is self service, but well managed shop. They have all kind of Kerala dishes incluidng paratha. They do catering as wells. Reasonable parking available in the premise. Also enjoy malayalam daily while eating. Promise place for Keralites visiting Greater Houston !

At this modest family-run hole-in the wall joint located in a strip mall the atmosphere may be bare-bones, but the menu, written on a couple of dry-erase boards at the counter, has everything you could want, from clay-oven meats marinated in yogurt, garlic, and ginger, to endless variations of curry, masala, korma and vindaloo. Food can be ordered as hot as you can handle.

We were very hungry and went for lunch at Desi Indian restaurant. Place was deserted and we were the only customer. There was only one person in the restaurant. We ordered 2 sets of appam, coconut milk and chicken curry. There was a TV with hello of noise. It was mounted in a corner where dinners sits and the kitchen was in other corner. The TV angle was set for them to watch from kitchen. We requested to reduce the volume. The owner/ chef gave an irresponsible look and denied the request. I started getting impatient and my wife got headache with that TV noise. We thought of leaving, but since we ordered the food, we decided to eat minimal, pay and leave the place.

You can see my 3 yr old on my shoulder after a 45 min drive from central Houston during the rodeo. Called and they said come on it. Get there at 7.30- lights off but kitchen door open to outside and they say they won’t serve us… Disappointing…

Hands down one of the best places to go for Kerala cuisine ( south Indian). Authentic taste as you would find in Kerala. No fancy ambience. But the food makes up for it and more.
