Clean and inviting. Street parking is available with meters. Extensive menu options, similar if not the same as the Boston location. Staff was friendly and offered good suggestions. Service was fast but we arrive during off hours. Good food overall. Recommended.

The homemade roti, hainese chicken, watercress and dry pearl noodles dishes are my staple items at Penang (here and the Boston one) and are the ones I’m always craving. The curry that comes with the roti is a little too watery for me. I like it slightly thicker so you can pick up more sauce with the pancake. The water cress is always on point. The hainese chicken was a little overcooked today, but the flavors made up for that.

Penang is one of my favorite restaurant chains, mostly because it is one of the few spots to get Malaysian food in the area. Still, with flavorful food from Malaysia and other parts of South East Asia, it’s hard not to go!

I was greeted immediately by the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. He recommended a couple of signature items on the menu and I ended up ordering the Curry Mee with Yong Tau Foo which did not disappoint. Food tasted authentic. The menu was extensive and the portion was generous; I wish I could try everything on the menu! Roadside parking wasn’t an issue and it was free.

This is a great spot – the food is excellent. Roti canai is 100% a must get. I believe I saw them making the roti fresh to order. The chicken curry is also a great dish. I’ve had a few other things here but these stand out. Service is super and the owner is incredibly friendly and takes a lot of pride in his restaurant. The dining area, bathrooms and the open kitchen are all spotless. Haven’t tried the hainanese rice yet but probably next time. Anyway, go here, get the roti canai and whatever else looks good to you cause it’s gonna be tasty

Awesome place! Came here due to craving of southeast Asian food. Everything we ordered was delicious! Restaurant is also really clean and price is fair. I would recommend anyone to stop by for a good meal.

I was looking quite forward to this place to try out when I randomly searched for it a few weeks back and see that it’s much more car friendly compared to the Chinatown location. Overall it’s great, the servers were very friendly and they were really quick with the food.
