We have been to ‘Honest’ restaurants in other locations too. This is the first time we went to this branch. The ambience was good and the restaurant was clean. The food was tasty. We had the Bahubali sandwich and Bombay vada pav. Vada pav was a bit spicy but decent. Sandwich was really good.

After trying Honest in NYC , we gave a try at our local north Brunswick location . We ordered , Pav Bajji , Aloo tokri chaat, cheese naan, mint pannier tika . All food tasted good . Interestingly , in pav bajji we found many pieces of onion and capsicum vs bajji typically mashed . Not sure if everyone will enjoy the pieces in the bajji .

The service was good but food is extremely bad. Bombay vada pav had no taste served in big burger bun. The noodles with Manchurian was very poor in taste as it smelled foul eating the Manchurian balls apparently spoilt. French fry with cheese for my kid was all right but priced very high. Overall it’s a pricey restaurant and poor quality of food. I am surprised at its high ratings in reviews.

Overall experience was good. Ordered Daal Baati Churma and enjoyed it. Taste was very close to authentic Rajasthani daal baati. It was prepared by a chef from Jaipur. Chef’s special Aloo Tokri chaat was also amazing. Tokri was so crisp and filling was relishing. A must try.

“At ‘Honest’ in North Brunswick, the culinary symphony of Indian street food reaches its pinnacle. Their pav bhaji, a harmonious blend of mashed vegetables and spices, served with buttered buns, is a soulful journey to the bustling streets of Mumbai. Each bite reveals the meticulous care and tradition that goes into its preparation. Not to be outdone, their chaat is a celebration of flavors and textures, a perfect amalgamation of crispy, tangy, sweet, and spicy elements. The ambiance at ‘Honest’ beautifully captures the essence of India, and the attentive staff ensures a delightful dining experience. For those seeking authentic Indian street food, ‘Honest’ is a destination not to be missed.”

Some of the worst service we’ve ever received. The staff was downright unwelcoming.

Kudos to the server team. Excellent place for vegetarians. Had dinner with family and kids. We all love the food. Quantity and quality was awesome and dishes are mouthwatering. Kids love bhakhri pizza. Specially Tokari chat was mouthwatering. Must visit this place.

Their food is nice. I have tried pav bhaji, chur chur naan, punjabi thali, puri chana, dal baati and everything was good with punjabi thali and chana puri being extremely good, but I feel they are bit overpriced according to the kind of place it is and service & ambience they provide.
