First time checking out Mudbugs, and the family and I absolutely loved it. Food and service were outstanding. Honestly, the fried shrimp from the po-boy and kids menu were the best I’ve ever tasted; perfectly cooked and the batter was light and delicious. My son (6) ate a plate full, and nothing pleases me more than watching him try new food and love it! As a first-timer, I wanted a variety so we tried the sampler (pictured). The chowder and etoufee were a massive hit. I had grilled catfish with etoufee topping (pictured). My wife is excited to go back for brunch and try all the delicious options and bottomless mimosas. We’ll definitely be going back to Mudbugs and including it to our regular rotation of favorites in the area.

Great little place for cajun food! Great app. Sample to try the gumbo, red beans and rice and chowder. We ordered and shared the fried Gator and crawfish tails, and a big portion was a lot to share. Service is a little I title slow, there were only 2 people waiting, serving and bartend. Overall, it’s a great place for Cajun!

OMG… so glad this place was referred to me. I’m from New Orleans and this may be the best Cajun restaurant I’ve ever eaten. I can tell you the bread pudding is the best dessert I’ve ever put in my mouth. Cannot wait to come back.

Im a full blooded Cajun and this is the best place I’ve found in DFW! No weird herbs or spices that you find in alot of “cajun” food around here. Just good old fashioned cajun cooking. Love it! The music was weird and seating is sparse, but the food is worth it!

I traveled to this restaurant for takeout hoping to get some good eats after being back from vacation in New Orleans for two weeks. The food was so good in NOLA that I wanted to keep it going.

I’m from Louisiana. Finally found a place that has great boiled crawfish! The bread pudding is the best in the planet! Reminds me of my childhood! Red beans and rice really good. Gumbo was a bit to salty. The LSU beer on tap is a must try.

Me and my friend came to eat bc of great reviews and food. Horrible. I spent $60 alone for myself. Food was cold and our waitress did not check on use one time. I mean NOT one single time. He stayed at the bar area laughing and chatting with other peers. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant spending this much on food. I could have wen to Ruth Chris or elsewhere. So unprofessional. It’s to the point I want to dispute with my bank.

Food is not bad, but not that impressive either. Great little bar, incredible service. Mandy was friendly.

We decided to try this spot out because I was craving jambalaya, and my husband really wanted gumbo – so we ordered both, along with an order of gator tail bites. The gator bites were OK, and the jambalaya wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t quite as flavorful as I would have liked; but my husband loved the gumbo, and said he would order it again.
