SARO in D.C
If you love, fresh and delicious food, Qui Qui is the answer. We did not have reservations but were quickly seated. I could taste the freshness of the sofrito in my arroz y gandules and the abichuelas. The maduro plantains were amazing. I had a glass of house red wine that was delightful to the pallet and mood. Max was our Server and service was spectacular! Everything came out hot from the kitchen. The setting is welcoming and family oriented, with separate table privacy and window seating. They have great memorabilia to take home like T-shirts and caps. If you are a Puerto Rican in DC or just love Puerto Rican food, this is absolutely the best place in the city.

Loved the flag on the stairs as I walked up, and enjoyed the ambiance once inside the restaurant. Loved the decor and the special attention paid to having Ron de Barrillito instead of Bacardi bottles on the tables.

Walked through the door to a welcoming hostes. Enjoyed every min from the time we sat down to the time we left out. Didn’t intend to spend as much, but it was worth it. Intend to go back.

We enjoyed ourselves and loved the atmosphere. The mofongos that we get were super delicious. I got the chicken and my husband got the shrimp and both were fantastic. The Gouda bites were ok but they werent fully warm/hot so it was a bit disappointing. The guava flan was delicious but they put so much whip cream on top which took away from the delicious flan. Overall we will be back because the mofongos were amazing but the little things lost them a star from me.

Flavorful food! Everyone at the table kept saying, “Mmm!” Servers were very friendly and attentive. Recommendation to the owner, lower the volume of the music, and add some more art to the walls that are bare. Will see you again.

The food was top notch! Amazingly good! I’m a big foodie but everything we had was amazing. If your not big on flavor this place is not for you. The dinosaur chop (pork chop) is huge so, you been warned! However, it was amazing and I had to take it home because I was full from everything else I ate . Drinks are great as well. Book reservations ahead of time. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Qui Qui. I think you all deserve 10 stars and not 5!

Restaurants that serve good Puerto Rican dishes are rare. This restaurant serves excellent dishes. The morsilla was astounding! The zurullos, tostones, and maduros were excellent. Drinks were perfectly prepared. Wait staff were pleasant and prompt. I will return.
