The Hampstead House has been a family favorite since day one! If you have not enjoyed the home-made deliciousness that arrives hot to your table from this great local establishment, I recommend dining with them. Their menu has something for everyone to enjoy, and you will be back. I fell in love with the Braised Lamb Shank at first bite, and I am unable to tell you how many of them I have enjoyed over the years. If you love Baked Haddock, order it. It is the best in the area!! Support local business and go have a wonderful meal with them. I hope they are open for many years to come.

Service was terrible..Chowders were served warm, not hot, and the seafood platter was very dry. Not worth the money ☹️ Also the chef came out right at 9.00 while we were still sitting to let us know that they closed at 9. Very rude.

We had a wonderful extended family meal here. Everyone was happy with their food. People raved about the pork shank meal. I enjoyed the lamb shank. Others enjoyed Caesar salad with chicken, steak tips, scallops, and fried haddock. Our only complaint would be slow service. It wasn’t the waitress’s fault, she was working alone with the bartender helping. It actually gave us more time to enjoy the company.

The waitress was lovely, the drinks and food were good. But the bartender could not have made us feel any less welcome. I asked for an appetizer platter and was told that 1: they didn’t have it and 2: he wasn’t taking my order because the kitchen was too busy making food for other people. Seriously? How completely rude and unprofessional. I’ve worked in food service and hospitality for years and he was a disgrace. Good job buddy, none of us will be back.

It was a wonderful dinning experience. Got the steak tips and wife got baked haddock so we created our own Surf & Turf. Food was terrific for a great price. Definitely go back and this was our 2nd time there.
