Made an online order took over an hour for deliver. Burger was burnt & missing a $7 cake that was ordered. Called and the Assistant Manger Janie/Jamie argued about it being sent or not. Stated she felt the bag and the cake was in there. IT WASNT. Argued with me 5 min and then said when my driver returned she would send him back with it. At this point I did not trust her to send any kind of food to me for she was so rude and argumentative over a slice of cake I asked for a refund and she said she would note my account for a credit for the next time I ordered. Had to demand an actual refund (we will see if I really get it). When I asked her name she began crying because she knew she was unprofessional and in the wrong.

✏️ I ordered a surprise steak dinner for my s/o Birthday dinner to be delivered to his hotel room since he’s having to work out of town in Midland & couldn’t be home. It’s been a rough week, and we’ve had some bad news and hard hits lately but I can’t thank ALL of the staff of Texas Express, specifically Ashley (the GM) all the way to the delivery guy enough! All I can say is they DEFINITELY UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! ☺️ They even threw in a free peach cobbler for his birthday! #YouRock We were on FaceTime when the delivery guy (sorry idk his name) arrived and gave him the order he said “Happy Birthday man!” My s/o said that was cool as hell! He got back in the room and saw where they wrote on the outside of the bag (just as I requested online when placing the order) “Happy Birthday -The best is yet to come! ❤️” This MADE HIS DAY, and he was smiling from ear to ear for the first time I’ve seen in days. I was even on FT crying like it was my birthday it was just super sweet of them all to do that and I can’t thank them enough. You never know what someone is going though, and little things like this mean so much after all we’ve been dealing with this past week. ❤️ So I highly recommend y’all to order Steak Express on West Illinois in Midland, their food is on point #Delicious and the team of workers there really went above and beyond which is hard to find now days. It’s been 2 years since I’ve been to KD’s. The food is still excellent. The meats are very flavorful and very lean, a high quality product. The cobbler is still delicious whether you like peach or cherry. On a side note the potato salad is not the same. It does not have a richer hearty flavor it’s rather sour. The beans are good. I know prices are going up but it seemed a bit high. Both me and my son we got two slices of brisket one scoop of sausage a small container of cobbler and the total came out to be over $50. We did not get drinks in this price. This was just a bit higher than I expected. It used to be the meal this size would have cost about 30 to $35. But on a good note the staff is very friendly the service is very prompt and polite and the restaurant is very clean. Good job and be proud of the food you serve. It was very delicious with the exception of the new potato salad.

This was the first time that I’d eaten at Texas steak Express. I was warmly greeted by the staff. They offered me a drink while I was waiting on my meal to be prepared. My steak was cooked to perfection! The salad was fresh and crisp. Overall a very good experience and I will be returning for future meals.
