Heads up- the photos online and on their menu at the drive in look nothing like the real food. Photos show nice looking seasoned fries and big filets. I ordered a three piece catfish for $17.99, after I almost left when I saw the prices.

Update 8-18-23: I decided to give them another chance. I placed an order online but when I arrived to pic it up there was no order. The young man said that his Ipad did not alert him there was an order. It was 5:55 and they were closing. This place is just not managed well.

While new to Tuscaloosa, this could easily become a frequented lunch spot. The menu offered a variety of items mostly southern favs, and some with a modern spin. Service was great and the food came out rather quickly considering it was a lunch party of about 6. The lack of menu items (mac and cheese and breakfast items) was kinda an issue for me, but like most places they are experiencing the effects of the pandemic.

First time and probably the last. No butter or honey for the cornbread so couldn’t eat it because it was so dry. I ordered hamburger steak no gravy just onions and I got 2 little pieces of onion. No steak sauce either. The loaded potato casserole tasted like it had been in the warmer for days. The lima beans were good. The hamburger steak was some sort of patty pre-made out of a box. For the price I could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and had real steak cheaper.

The service and the atmosphere was good. However, I was very disappointed in the food. The food was bland. I ordered the catfish plate, the catfish had no seasoning on it & the hush puppies were doughy (undone) on the inside.

Opens for lunch at 11. At 11:30 there was no line and food was ready almost before we sat down. My roast beef was delicious and I’m told the fried chicken breast was too. I’m looking forward to going back for a burger and possibly a shake.

Walked in just before 5:00 today. Door stated hours were from 10:30-6:00. No cars in parking lot, 1 customer inside. No workers visible. Stood at the counter for 3 minutes, saw one person in the back. Never acknowledged us. We walked out. Service is worse than terrible … it’s non-existent. Good luck. Won’t be back.
