Founded in 1996, the 125th Street Grill hasn’t changed much since then. Inside is the “family style restaurant” experience you remember as a kid, with decor from decades past. It’s not shabby, but it’s not winning any contemporary design awards either.

This place has some of the best french fries I’ve ever had in my life. They taste great and are crunchy. I went there twice. First time I had the New York steak sandwich (pretty much just a 8oz steak with a piece of bread underneath) and the fish and chips. Can’t go wrong with either. The salad comes with the fish and chips (you have a choice between soup or salad). Overall the food tasted great and the service was fantastic.

St Patrick’s Day I had incredible corned beef and cabbage and leave that week I went back for their hot turkey sandwich. Both were off hours 2:30 in the afternoon… Food was delicious and service really good!

A dark, rundown, and depressingly heavy atmosphere. It does not help that an abandoned motel wraps around the place adding to the feel of decay. Nothing exciting about the food. Prices are on the higher side. Dinner was good and the staff are friendly. It’s not a place I would go back to but the bar section was updated and deserves a second visit.

A lot of menu items to choose from. Everything we had was good. Desserts were especially amazing. If you like key lime pie, then you have to try theirs. A whole lot of lime flavor. And the mud pie was piled high with good stuff. Facilities are a bit rundown, but still worth a stop.
