As a Dominican had my 1st visit today. The baked chicken was dry, the salad was told had dressing I couldn’t taste it. The beans tasted like ketchup tomato sauce. Was very extremely disappointed and I couldn’t believe Eve had a separate charge. In RI Mass NY we charge for a meal. So if you want chicken you get rice &beans w/ it or yellow rice w/ it plus your choice of a salad, veggies, or macaroni salad. No here noting came w/ anything. I couldn’t see or taste any oregano or or cilantro in the beans much less garlic. Very disappointed. 1st & last visit. My friend wants me n my family to come down and opens restaurant here but they’ve got enough with the ones they’ve got in RI

Mofongo, Mondongo, Flan, Habichuelita y Santo Domingo! 1st visit and won’t be last! I was fiending for some Authentic Dominican food ( My all time favorite and most difficult to find), and found Caribe ♥️! What a find This was! I ordered the mofongo (mashed fried plantains with garlic and pork rinds mixed in) chicharrón, mondongo (tripe) with white rice and batida de papaya (papaya shake) to go. I was afraid the mofongo would become too tough to eat when I got home, due to the distance to my home and having to reheat the food. I arrived home and my one complaint is that the mofongo was too heavy for the styrofoam container and everything spilled into the bag. That didn’t prevent me from eating it but, it almost fell out of the bag. I heated up the mofongo, added the Mondongo over it and it was purely amazing! The food was delicious, well seasoned and still tender. I also failed to mention I normally don’t eat everyones Mondongo (tripe). It’s not the type of food that everyone can prepare well, but Caribe blew me away! My own little piece of DR. Also, I must say the customer service was exceptional!

Even though Caribe is mainly a Dominican Restaurant, I visit to enjoy the Mofongo, which is originally from Puerto Rico, where I’m from. Service is good and I requested Salsa Music and they were nice enough to play it. I had the Shrimp Mofongo in Creole Sauce. Mofongo could have used a bit more condiments and salt, but texture was perfect and shrimp were plenty and delicious.
