Was very disappointed with my butter chicken. I am down for vacation this week but am originally from NC, so I suppose it’s probably a regional difference. When I usually order butter chicken, it is seasoned pan seared chunks of chicken in a thick hearty sauce that is very very well spiced. I ordered here after looking at how high the reviews were. When I received my butter chicken, I was very surprised to see that the sauce was very thin and lacking a lot of flavor. It was also served with vegetables which were good but was just something I was not used to. I also ordered their garlic naan which exceeded my expectations and was very delicious. Overall service was 10/10 and the inside of the restaurant was very neat and clean. The food was not bad, it was simply not was I was expecting so this is a warning for anyone not from the area. If you are used to thick, hearty spiced butter chicken, this is not the place to eat at.

Both the food and service are outstanding. Tikka Masala, Saag Aloo, Pashwari Naan (rare to find anywhere outside of England) were delicious. The service was friendly, attentive and actually exceptional. My napkin fell off my knee and was swiftly collected while I was handed a fresh one. The location is not on a beach, so they’ve done a wonderful job decorating the inside of an otherwise non-descript building with warm dark wood, brick and clever cosmic lighting. But the food and service are the stars here. Go now and enjoy!

This place not only had amazing staff but the best Indian food I have had. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants this food was delicious. The server was so accommodating to my very fussy baby! He was so kind and was giving her high fives and things to play with. Everyone should go here if you love Indian food, you will not regret it.

My mother and I go to this restaurant at least two times a week, if not more. We absolutely love every single thing about this restaurant! We even decided to go out and try the other Indian restaurants in the area, but none of them compare to Flavors of India. The service is amazing at this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they offer suggestions and help answer questions. The food is flavorful and very authentic. The atmosphere is quiet and very comfortable. Like I said, we went to other Indian restaurants in the Sarasota and Manatee County areas, and none of them came close to Flavors of India. We have never been there for the lunch buffet, so I cannot speak about that, but I can tell you that each and every time we have been for dinner, it has been absolutely amazing. I highly recommend trying their spicy house pickle. They are the only restaurant in town that makes it fresh. I typically have either the butter chicken or the chicken tikka masala, and my mother has the bhindi masala. All of those dishes are absolutely amazing, but you should most definitely try their coconut rice. It is out of this world amazing! Plus, their naan is to die for especially the peshawari and the garlic paneer. I have never had a single bad meal at this restaurant, and if I could give it more stars, I would. I highly recommend Flavors of India!!!

I would start by saying I had tried 100s of Indian restaurant across the US. Food was made very fresh. Like baingan was made to order with all fresh spices. Veggie korma was not traditional, big chunk of carrots, potato etc. and weren’t throughly cooked. It had crunch to it, as it was fresh carrots and not boiled enough. On the other side, garlic naan was Fantastic and well done as requested. I was hoping for onion kulcha with stuffing inside, but it was on the top as regular naan.
