Drove by and saw the Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken sign and decided to give it a try. I have ordered Chicken Tenders (very spicy), Korean Chicken Nuggets with spicy soy garlic sauce, and Loaded Fries to go. Everything was tasty with just right amount of heat. I love the flavor of the Korean Chicken Nuggets, they were made with tender white meat. The Loaded Fries were covered with friend chicken pieces. In summary, good quality meat, inexpensive, full of flavors.

My first experience here was good! Very busy place between the phone ringing and people walking in to order. There was only 1 person upfront handling it ALL and he did an impressive job to me. I ordered the 6 piece wings, not combo, and I received a cup of coleslaw and pickle slices! The heat level I got was medium, and thank goodness because it says on the sign that even the no spice/heat, may be a little spicy! So I did medium heat which was enough for me and the wing size was a decent size. They weren’t all small and tiny, I was impressed! My husband tried the chicken Santos sandwich hot! It was hot, even though we eat hot foods, he said it was hotter than he expected! Still, it was good. We liked it so much we placed an order over the phone for a 20 piece meal for our family to enjoy at the pool! They loved the chicken tenders the most! We will be going again, and next on my list is the loaded fries!!! Yummy

Very spartan interior at this site. Crew was indifferent to the point of not even speaking other than calling order numbers. The waffle fries were almost room temperature and look grease but weren’t, certainly close to over cook.

I was going to a Superbowl party with a bunch of other pepperheads. We had been awaiting this to give Hangry Joe’s a shot. Ordered 4 large chicken bites for carryout, mild, medium, hot and angry hot. The latter being the entire catalyst for the order. We needed to see how hot this stuff is. Took an Uber to be safe. I go pick up my bites, which were ready exactly when they were supposed to be, and headed to the party excited to try this new establishment. Get in and start grabbing bags out and, wait, what? No angry hot Double order of hot, but no angry and there wasn’t anything I could do as I had no vehicle. The chicken is good, very juicy and the portion size is more than ample but the entire reason we wanted these was not there. May or may try it again. But I’ll be checking the order before i leave next time.

First time trying the food here and at first I was a little nervous, it was so quiet no sound of cooking just quietness until another customer came in purchased a call in pick up order. I thought okay at least someone does eat here. Then came our food to my surprise FRESH, HOT, and SMELLING DELICIOUS We got it to go but had to try it in the car and yep! it’s was worth the 20 minutes wait for this good Korean chicken and Spicy hot Chicken that brought the heat just right and don’t sleep on the slaw it’s was a nice side. I will return again on another trip to Richmond, Va.

I don’t usually post reviews but I was surprised at the quality of food and service here. Perfectly fried chicken with good kick to it (I got the hot tenders). The okra was great too – crispy outside and not gooey at all inside. Wait was longer than fast food, sure, but this is real food so well worth it in my opinion. Very clean and organized inside with friendly staff. Also surprised to see they also have both boba and beer! Will be coming back for sure.

Had the leg and thigh box and 12 wings. The wings are a nice size and not the tiny ones you get from other restaurants. The reason for only four stars….the hot is very hot. But there is an after taste to the hot seasoning.
