Tried this place out today. Ordered the gorditas. One chicken one al pastor. Severely disappointed. Why is it nearly impossible to find authentic gorditas in Austin? Nearly every place takes the lazy approach and just gives you essentialy two very thick fried corn tortillas and serves you essential a torta(sandwich) instead of a gordita. An authentic gordita is cooked on a comal then deep fried. You let it cool down then cut a slit in the top and with a spoon carve out all the excess maza(dough). You then stuff the pocket with meat, lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and salsa. And if your shredded cheese is melting, they are serving it too hot. This place just serves a steaming hot pile of goo. Not sure about the tacos, but stay away from their “gorditas” at all cost.

This is East 6th’s best kept secret. Their burritos are the best I’ve had in Austin and their sauces, and chips and salsa are SO GOOD! Very authentic. It is a truck, definitely only to-go orders because it’s not at a cute bar or anything. But it is affordable and our go-to anytime we want something authentic and quick

I was craving lengua tacos and these were absolutely delicious and hit the spot!!! Pastor tacos were also bomb. Cali burrito was packed with ingredients. Ordered from Doordash and everything came hot and well packaged. Will be back!

My child loves the chicken tacos! It gets busy late at night on the weekend buy worth the little wait. There’s 1 picnic table but if you’re getting your food to go or just need a quick bite it’s the perfect food truck for that.

I really love this little food truck. I’m from San Diego so I came here with a bit of a bias. I found myself pleasantly surprised! Their burritos are so delicious and filling. Really great meat, and the salsas are also wonderful. Definitely a spot to check out when you’re in Austin. Tacos Juanitas rocks!

Order the spicy burger, no taste, jalapeños mushy, mayonnaise lack of flavor and vegetables horrible. Beef fajita taco lack in taste, no flavor and too much onions. I would not recommend this place.

Lengua was good. Pastor was decent. After a dollar tip paid a little over nine dollars for two tacos. Other trucks in the area your getting three tacos for around that price and bigger tacos. Decent flavor but won’t be back
